Are they giving away drugs, thats the only way I can see that they are getting the business that they are. There food absolutely sucks. 55 bucks for 2 people to eat an had to send steaks back TWICE. It is pitiful that is the BEST place in Gvegas to get a steak, or so the Greeneville Sun reported in there survey. After it is cooked to PERFECTION it was still so tough my Rot had a tough time with it.

I also hate applebees... Their steaks are over marinated, when I eat a steak I want to taste the meat, not the shit its been soaking in... I don't care about the price, when I go out to eat I usually spend a lot of money anyway, but I at least want it to taste good...

That's why we drive to Kingsport to go to the chop house when we want a steak. I support local establishments 99% of the time but not when it comes to steak.

I will go on sabbaticals of YEARS of no Applebees & then try again. I was last there 2 years ago after not being in a couple of years & many years before that. No matter the day/time/season, it's the same deal, ok food & lousy service. I'm bewildered at the biz they get! I'm not a picky person by any stretch other than for cleanliness. Their menu & ads look great but it's not my place. Fatz is much better. Heck so is Wendy's & Captn Ds for that matter! Lol

My husband and I have also had tough steak, poor service, and high prices for the cut of steak at Applebee's. We don't eat there for at least a year or so and decide to go back again as the parking lot stays pretty full all the time. Maybe the food is better NOW we think. AGAIN. Awful food. Slow service. Overpriced menu. I can't understand why anyone would rate their steak as good or tender. Our steaks were always so tough they were almost uneatable.

I cannot complain about the service, but I do know the managers parents, we were just running late an stopped there. If you want a excellent steak go to the Alamo in Pigeon Forge or Gburg. Fine piece of New York strip they got.

Go to the new food city. Their steaks are great. Already marinated if you like and hand cut. Grab a couple twice baked potatoes while your at it and dine so fine for half the price.

I just finished off a 14 oz new York strip from there... The thing was at least two inches thick... Like I said earlier I'm not into marinated meat, I just rubbed a little cajun seasoning into it and smoked it... The only steak I've had that was better was at biltmore and it cost me and my wife about $150 for the meal...

Have you tried their fresh cut bacon... It's some of the best bacon you can buy...

That store has renewed my faith in store bought meat... About 90% of the meat I eat is home raised... Their meat section is very good for a grocery store...

Yes. I used to do lots of wild game. Their meat & seafood is top shelf. I grill and smoke a lot. As a matter of fact I'm building a new smoker now.

Their quality and selection really surprised me... You can't beat deer and wild turkey and home raised beef and pork, but they are now my go to when I'm out....

Like you I grill and smoke a lot also... I've got a 20 by 36 deck, and am in the design process of building an outdoor kitchen complete with smoker...

And when I say outdoor kitchen, I'm talking about an outdoor kitchen that will put most peoples indoor kitchen (including my own) to shame...

That's cool. I cook and do the social thing in my shop. It's separate from the house thus keeping the mess at bay lol.
