Why are people so convinced that there's a god? I'm not opposed to the idea myself, I just find myself often wondering if there's NOT a god......THEN WHAT?

If you do not want to believe in God, you never will. There can be no scientific proof, simply because God is not physical or material, He is spiritual and infinite. Science is the observation of material phenomena in this universe, and then applying our reason and logic to understand and control them. By definition, God cannot exist as part of this universe, cannot be composed of matter, and cannot even exist in time.

All you have to do is set the standards of proof high enough, and absolutely nothing can be proven. Proof is a tricky subject. As the old Greeks like Euclid discovered, all proofs have to rely on at least several assumptions (which they called postulates) which cannot themselves be proven. So a person who demands hard proofs is doomed to failure.

It is a doctrine of the Church that faith does not come to us through reason alone, but by the grace of God. If a person opposes even the possiblity of God's existence, then any arguments or evidence can be rationalized away.

Since it is impossible to "prove" with absolute certainty, any amount of belief in God has to come from your own spirit, from within your own heart, because it is the spirit of God that we are trying to find. The paradox is, you will only find this faith if God gives you the grace to find it.

A person of faith already knows why they believe. It is not for any selfish reason, or because they want to be "saved." It is because they know they are a true child of God, and that we naturally seek Him and know Him as only a child can know their true parents. It is a completion of our lonely existence. It is a feeling of coming home. And it is a certainty that goes far beyond all efforts at "proof." Our faith is a pure gift from God. It is the result of our having accepted the gift of His grace.

One of the most common reactions to not understanding something is looking to someone else for an answer. Good job on doing so. I hope you look elsewhere for answers concerning your salvation.

They very existence of God cannot be proven by science - you have to have Faith that God exists if you believe.

Nobody can prove OR disprove God.

So is there a fail proof way to prove the existence of God? The answer is both yes and no. The Bible tells us that the Heavens declare His handiwork. Yet many people choose to ignore what it points to and choose to interpret it in a way that seems, to them, to prove that God doesn't exist.

Part of the problem is perspective. Many people can not believe in God, or will not, because they can not stuff God into a test tube, quantify Him, experiment with Him, or examine Him. Since they lack this ability---they refuse to believe in God. They want a limited type of tangible proof that would fit their understanding of the universe. And if it does not fit their perspective they will dismiss God out of hand.

Ok ...here you go....PROVING GOD'S EXISTENCE

I have discovered only one way to do this. Instead of arguing with an individual, I issue a challenge. The challenge is to come to Church. But not just to come for the sake of merely having a physical presence. But to come and experience the entire thing we call Church. I challenge them to come Sunday morning and night, for two solid months. To listen, and consider and ask questions. You see the Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. I believe that if a person is honestly hearing the Word of God, faith will blossom in their soul.

Give God an honest effort and put the Biblical principles to the test in your own life.

That is where all Christians become true believers. At some point you have to believe in God for your own reasons not because your parents do or your pastor does. When a person lives the principles of the Bible everything then changes.

So if you are wondering how to find out if God exists or not, you can. Find a good Bible believing Church and begin to live the principles and truths that are taught from God's Word. Seeing for yourself how the principles work in your life and how they transform your thinking helps you develop faith over a very short period of time. You'll begin to see the hand of God and the proof of God all around you.

I proved God was real by losing in video games.. he's real because he makes me win every time I lose.. so he's real.. even if I try to lose on purpose I start winning.. so god is real.. same thing in chess and everything.. if he's real then y. then I know you all tried to use mayweather undefeated As an example of me being wrong.. but i'm sure his practice Against other people still counts As losing in Gods eyes. so he loses outside of the official game land and wind in the official game land..

no you don't have to have faith... And faith was just not Actually meaning what people make it out to mean what they say it means..

And by believing.. they didn't just mean pretending it was real.. sure that is the dictionary definition.. but the bible definition for believing in god is

completely different!

obedience = believing in God..

you don't have Any faith if your sinning you gotta be not sinning for Anything to happen..

but Also there Are judgements god dishes out regardless of if your obeying him or not..

if you look closely into the bible it shows that being in Gods favor he switches his favor back And forth between you And your enemy even when your enemy does not obey him..
