Exactly how much does he make? Show me the link.
Hostess delivery trucks were not allowed to carry bread and hostess dessert cakes (Twinkies)in the same truck per union rules. So, Hostess had to send 2 drivers / 2 trucks to each store to make deliveries. Sounds like Greece doesn't it?

How much of a pay cut was the CEO willing to take to save the company or did the sacrifice and pay cuts all need to come from the hourly workers?

Danged unions are ruining the country and spoiling everything for the new American Aristocracy. We all know that we need to bust the unions and return to the wealth system of the Guilded Age-not.

If you think the CEO taking a pay cut was going to save the company, then you're as delusional as the union. 18,000 union members had a choice and they opted for unemployment benefits....

You don't have a clue about effective leadership.

He deserves a hefty bonus for having to deal with the unions and he's still left trying to sale their brands, which I am certain is quite an undertaking. Unfortunately too few will learn a lesson from this and abandon their loyalty to the thuggish unions.

I dont know what kind of contractual obligations Hostess had to the execs(bonuses)but it blows my mind that a union would let their members lose their jobs instead of workin things out.

Your statement puts me in mind of the Republican hard line on the budget. They are not willing to give an inch and have black-balled all proposals of the President.

It seems that the Republicans are willing to sacrifice the country's well-being for the sake of tax breaks for the wealthy.

You've Got To Stand For Something Lyrics
Aaron Tippin

Now daddy didn't like trouble, but if it came along
Everyone that knew him knew which side that he'd be on
He never was a hero, or this county's shinin' light
But you could always find him standin' up for what he thought was right

He'd say you've got to stand for somethin' or you'll fall for anything
You've got to be your own man, not a puppet on a string
Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything

Now we might have been better off or owned a bigger house
If daddy had done more givin' in or a little more backin' down
But we always had plenty just living his advice
Whatever you do today, you'll have to sleep with tonight

He'd say you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
You've got to be your own man, not a puppet on a string
Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name
You've got to stand for somethin' or you'll fall for anything

I know that things are different than they were in daddy's days
But I still believe what makes a man really hasn't changed

You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
You've got to be your own man, not a puppet on a string
Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
