If the commissioners pass this they are crazy. I have enough taxes to pay without them raising them more.

No D A I hold down two jobs to help your sorry butt. The problem with ems is their director. He has no idea what he is doing. There are good people there just bad leadership. Didn't you see where he is trying to shut out another ambulance service.. They need help cause they can't handle all the runs

First they need to get rid of Robert Sayne and Calvin Hawkins. Between the two of them they have gotten rid of a few good EMTs and paramedics because of their stupidity. Why do they need two more ambulances when the ones they have are not even stocked with supplies that might have to be used in an emergency? I say bring in an independent ambulance service and then maybe they will wise up and replace the ones in charge. Also they are hiring out of towners part time to run the ambulances instead of hiring from Greene County citizens. To me the ones living outside Greene County would take more time getting to a call because of not knowing the area- oh that explains why it takes so long for them to answer calls- makes sense now. Well Greene County better wise up with the bad management of the EMS service they are just lucky there have been no BIG lawsuits because of the care and time it takes to answer calls.

Finally someone who speaks the truth. It is sad that good EMTs leave because of poor management. Many people are saying the light and I hope the commissioners do to and not vote for all that money wasted. Sayne is killing that department and will continue to pocket money instead of equipping his trucks or taking care of the citizens. Heaven forbid you have an accident in this county. Another county would get here sooner than them. Heard through the grapevine that when the stabbing occurred at the school it took them 30 minutes from the time they were called. What does that say? Maybe this county needs a new system.

ok first of all i know for a fact that it did't take 30 minutes for them to arrive on scene of the stabbing, and second for a situation like that they have to wait for law enforcement to arrive on scene and secure the scene before they can come in to it.

I talked to adults at that school and it was 30 minutes from the time the call went til the ambulance was there. The first responder and police was there but no ambulance. Why don't they put an ambulance back at that station at the school? Yeah I know budget cuts but still look what happened. There needs to be something done.

OK, The response one unit was on scene in 3 minutes and yes they are EMTs. And like someone else said they have to make sure the scene is safe before a ambulance can go on scene. And further more it was not 30 min I was there it was more like 15 min maybe.. And the kid is alright thank God.

The wreckless manner in which people drive around here, we could use 15 more Ambulances.
