Romans 2:1-3

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

I think this is rather clear. Paul is telling new Christians that it is the height of hypocrisy to sit is judgement of another. Why? Judge a person for lying? Have YOU ever lied? Judge a person for coveting? Have YOU ever coveted? Judge a person for stealing? Have YOU ever stolen?(yes, that stick of gum counted)

Paul is saying that God is the ultimate judge, and because we are all imperfect, we should STFU.

John 3:17--

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

If God did not send his son to condemn people on this planet-- what gives us the right to condemn (judge)the people of the world?

Romans 12:20 has nothing to do with judgement.
Se7en187 did not cite Romans 12:20.

She did cite Romans 12:16-19 ---

"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written,“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Again, the 'no judgement' theme is alive and well here. How can you live in harmony with someone you feel you should judge? How can you live peaceably with someone you judge? It is God's role to avenge a wrong... not your own judgement.

Galatians 6 :1 restoring your brother.
Good God, DawgDoo! You are a flippin' idiot. Oh dear, I am siting in judgement.

I apologize.

Let us continue.

Galatians 6:1--

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted."

Ok. A person has sinned. Instead of JUDGING them, Christians should HELP THEM... i.e.'restore them.'

good grief.

James 1:26 bridle the tongue.
"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain."

Clearly stated: Don't be a religious hypocrite and become loudly self-righteous--- i.e. judging others---- when you, yourself should be judged.

AHA! This one does (sort of) give a green light (although limited) for a person to judge another:

"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour."

Psalms 1:5 The ungodly shall not stand in judgement of the righteous.
"Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous."

This is a tough one at first glance ... but one can assume that God is sorting the righteous from the unrighteous... imperfect humans are not doing the judging.

A person has to judge him or herself first. Their is nothing wrong with a accurate and fair judgement as long as it doesn't pertain to one's salvation.

Instead of judging let ur light shine out in a dark lost and dying world and let them see Jesus in ur life and the things he has done for you. When u do judge u will be judged according to the measure u judge by we all fall short of the glory of God daily and we are born in sin

You are correct. You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. When somebody puts a bunch of verses down to read and then puts a big nasty word at the end of it. Well do I really need to say anymore. As far as being born in sin, you are also correct, but we can over come sin.
