U must work there. Otherwise u wouldn't be suggesting comparisions. Just because x pays their empoyee too much doesn't mean glps shoud too! U are trying to rationalize why u too are paid 2 much.
Excellent comment Mike! Who in their right mind would look at what other similar jobs pay when determining a compensation package for an executive.

You're the kind of voter I like Mike. Keep up the good work!

It is extremely outlandish for Mr. Carroll to make this kind of money considering the economy in Greenville. Bet if he would resign we could get someone willing to work for less pay. When Greeneville no longer has any industries left, and the town is dust, bet he'll move on.
Another excellent remark! Congratulations!

Just one queston ...so when the "Greeneville" economy is good, then they should be paid more money ...like on a sliding scale?

Again, tremendous comment. Much insight!

How did Al Gore not win this state?

In case you haven't noticed, this isn't "New York".

Actually, No I don't think he should make that much money in any economy here.

As far as I know, Greeneville Light & Power is owned by the Town of Greeneville. How can we, as ratepayers, justify paying him that kind of money, when the working poor, or unemployed people of this community have to choose between paying the electric bill or buying food?

Yes! Another educated member of the populous! I agree wholeheartedly! No one there should make more than their coworker

Unite! Unite I say. No one makes more than the comrades that mow the grass! Justice! Justice I say!

And I would appreciate your vote in 2012!

Sounds like Barry and Carroll are big buddys??? Id have to disagree with Carroll haven to deal with the public, a man maken that kind of money always has his boys that take care of all that for him. If u payed him for the work he does instead of his name he would be the least payed at Light & Power!!! That's what's wrong with a lot of the company's in this area. But that's the way the Good ol' Buddy system works.

I gather from your post you voted for King? Me too, even though I'm registered in Chicago....but that's another story...

Yes,down with GLPS! Even though they're at the mercy of TVA....whose at the mercy of my administration and the EPA.

I just wish China wasn't putting a new coal fired power plant in operation every week.....I hate coal....and oil..and gas...and Brits ....and.....

I agree completely. Maybe Barry should ask Mr. Carroll for a raise. He's working over-time on here.

This doesn't phase me though. I know how much my electric bill has gone up. I pay it monthly like a good little citizen or the "MAN" will turn my electricity off. WHEW that's scary!!! LOL

I really want to say that the lineman who work there, deserve every penny they make. Their jobs are dangerous and they work hard in such bad weather. I really appreciate the jobs that they do.

P.S. I don't think TVA has anything to do with how much money Bill Carroll earns.

Read my previous post. My administration, EPA, TVA,GLPS.

Go to China if you don't like it! The interest payments me and the DNC pay them are building plenty of coal fired power plants there.

Thank you for you support. Peace

So does the economy in Greensville, or wherever you people live?

Bottom line, I don't like coal.

But vote for me.

Not updated since 2008 but you will get an idea of what someone is making. Most state employees have not had a raise since 2008.
