Public works will either leave the pothole half filled for 9 months with rock and loose asphalt, or over fill it so its like a mini hill Tusculum blvd is horrible.

Overall, the roads aren't really that bad. However, the area near NPAC is horrible. It has been that way for as many years as I have lived here. It makes me wonder if it is not left that way on purpose to slow traffic down?

I have often wondered that about many areas of road. Ripley Island by Chuckey Doak comes to mind first off because I travel that road daily

i have not seen a road crew fixing a road ,only water crews digging them up and leaving a rough coat of tar to knock your car out of alignment. what about in front of eastgate shopping center, who fixed that mess in the road.

Maybe negative, but oh so true. Just experienced this yesterday coming into town via the Asheville Highway. What a ridiculous practice. Yes, it is cheap and puts unskilled people to work, but it doesn't fix anything. It just knocks the paint off your car.

Some of the streets are rough but the places where they are half ass repaired has knocked my car out of alignment bad and I have had to replace 2 tires because it breaks the belt in them. Low profile 17" tires are expensive as is the alignments. Some manhole covers are deep in the pavement in places and it feels like hitting a log. Don't think the city would want to pay for the repairs to my car.
