Wow.. I thought he had only opened e-mail that contained the pictures. The reporting led me to think the officer reported images left open/running on the computer. I would appreciate someone with extensive knowledge of the justice system to place.. hypothetical charges in this case. I have read the federal laws on child pornography. When you combine that with the fact of the crimes being committed using government property, his charges should be quite extensive. It would be a spit in the face to every citizen of Greene County, for this man to escape ANY aspect of the law.

Well, hopefully someone digs around enough to find more dirt (as in breaking laws while enforcing it) on him. Surely this isn't his first time doing something this vile and stupid. Put him under the prison!

Another VERY disturbing thing, the reporting officer remains unnamed. I would imagine that officer is doing so for his own safety or others. This tells me that the boys in blue are or may try to defend this creep.

Well I felt like that was the case, at first. Now, I know it to be the reason that this outstanding figure of authority remains nameless. The public sure as hell thanks him and will be far more protective of the officer and their family than the scum threatening to harm them.

It is too hard to respect law enforcement with things like this going on daily. NO ONE STANDING UP AND ANSWERING FOR THOSE THAT THEY SERVE!! Well, you wont get my respect or cooperation with that attitude. That is what we are asked for when approached by the law, yet they are above showing the same? I think not.

There are so many reports of people in positions of authority doing this exact same thing all over this country, not just locally. I don't understand it, I just can't even mentally go there. Degenerates!

Why would naming the reporting officer be relevant at this time?
It was relevant when it happened and still is, to me. These officers are employees working for the citizens. So, I don't feel entitled to know this officers name, only wishful. They deserve to be known as "the good cop". Besides, when something happens around town like this or any other outlandish news, people want to know the details and are most of the time given them.

Do you have a sufficient reason as to why this information would be hidden from the public? Besides the safety of the officer and their family from more backwards law enforcement? And, as I said, if that is a concern for this officer, it is a concern for us all!

Wow!! Everyone sure likes being the judge, jury and executioners around this "Christian community". What happened to due process and innocent until proven guilt? Same goes for Mr. David Thompson. I pray for the families that are having to deal with this and IF these men are guilty as charged, how will the families be treated. Will they be treated just as guilty by association?
We need more of looking in our back yards and taking care of our own business and less of the finger shaking, accusations, and bashing of others.
Well, that goes out the door when THE EVIDENCE is so overwhelming AND filthy. It isn't just this community that holds sex offenders to these standards. ESPECIALLY, when it comes to our children and corrupted snakes who are supposed to be protecting us and ours. This isn't the Catholic church and I will not turn my cheek on this. Any sentence handed down needs to be doubled just on basis of where the crime took place and his position in the community.

He broke an oath to protect.
If the families ensure that this man isn't allowed near the children of the family any longer, they have no fault. It isn't their fault that someone has blinded them with lies.
Less finger shaking led to this man being able to stay on the force and prowling for over a decade. I have a good feeling that it was covered up by a few people as well. Let's just see what kind of time he gets for this and compare that to the time those children have to live with, if they were lucky enough to.
