Anybody else out there ever notice the women at the check outs licking their fingers in order to get a plastic bag open? The managers should tell them not to do this or put out a wet sponge or some sortkwik. This is extremely nasty! This is how colds, flu, and other maladies are spread. This is why I use the self check out.

Do you avoid using a shopping cart, also? What about your steering wheel on your vehicle? Awww, the list goes on and on...the worst idiosyncrasy for me is a doctor coming into the examination room after being with another patient and wanting to shake my hand before he washes them. Ah, it ain't happening. Ain't that right doc?

Yeah I know you can't inoculate yourself from everything and Ill be the first to admit I'm a bit, no change that, a big germophobe. But there are some very simple and common sense things one can do such as not slobbering on the plastic bags! Oh by the way I take my own Clorox wipe in with me to wipe down the shopping cart. As for the doctor? You're own your own.

Go to Ryans if you want to see finger-licking. Customers at the buffet make me wanna vomit. Nasty asses licking their fingers and handling the utensils. PIGS!

Got a good one for you. My daughter and I were at a local grocery store. As we strolled by the place where they put together those cheese and fruit plates over by the bakery and deli section this woman who was making one of the said cheese plates went over to a trash can, hocked a big ole oyster and began to spit it out in to the trash can.(Here's the good part) as it dripped and oozed down her lip she proceeded to pinch it off her bottom lip and sling it in the trash can. She did have on latex gloves. Did she change gloves? NO she did not. And continued to put together a delicious looking cheese and meat platter. Usually I just keep quiet about things but this time I had to let the manager know.

Ya'll just made me sick this morning reading this "crap" so early....eww.. Thank you both. lol I have such a problem with things like this, but Dr. Wu... bag lickers had NOT come to the forefront of my mind until now. It's bad enough that I have door knob issues.. now I have to worry about my Wal-Mart sacks. Yuk. lol Geez......

I say no to licking stamps and envelopes. Yuck! & I drink my drinks with a straw that I opened. Who wants their lips on the rims of glasses/cups that have been who knows where? What about can sodas? I always wash the top of the can before drinking out of it or giving it to my child. Cases of those thinks are stored where rats and other critters are.

You're correct! If you wanna skip bagging your milk or something, ya gotta wait on the cashier to come over. But, I still use the self checkout when possible!

After what Wu stated I will wait in line for hours to use a self-checkout lane from here on in. I will never eat one of those meat platters again either. Yuck!

By any chance would you not go to the local bakery?? I don't want to know what is done while they are dipping my yeast raised and glazed doughnut, thank you very much in advance!

No thank you. I do not go to ANY buffet anywhere, anytime for the reasons you mentioned. lol I'm pretty much just going to go to a restaurant where I can have a glass of wine and hopefully kill any germs I get there. lol That's always been my strategy anyway. lol
