So, which are you? Hawk, his wife, or God? Because only those 3 know for sure what really happened, before, during, and after the "incident".( And the baby, of course, but luckily its unlikely he/she will remember.) He may actually be guilty (and if so, SHOULD be punished) but given her history of deception with her ex she isn't exactly credible herself, from what the newspapers have reported. Someone on another thread said there were bruises. That's compelling evidence, enough for a grand jury indictment. It's highly unlikely that a woman would make something like that up and bruise herself. But it's not unheard of. I could not make a judgment unless I was actually on a jury and heard ALL evidence (and not just rumors). Hopefully justice will prevail, whoever turns out to be the guilty party.
Get to court Hawk!

Who didn't see this coming?

Greeneville Sun:

BY KEN LITTLE
STAFF WRITER
State Rep. David Hawk, R-5th, of Greeneville, waived his arraignment this morning in Greene County Criminal Court to a felony count of reckless endangerment in connection with an incident March 18 involving Hawk's estranged wife, Crystal Goan Hawk.

Hawk, 44, was indicted on the count Monday by a Greene County Grand Jury. The grand jury issued a no-true bill on a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault against Hawk.

Judge John F. Dugger Jr. set a return court date of May 29 for Hawk, who was re-elected earlier this month to a sixth term in the Tennessee House of Representatives.

Buddy = Buddy Hawk (David Hawk's dad)

You have been exposed for not knowing a damn thing, so save yourself more embarrassment by crawling back under your rock.

You are stupid! I gave my opinion on being innocent until proven guilty. I wasn't referring to any particular person. This site just happened to be talking about Mr. Hawk, it could be anyone and I would feel the same. That's the way our justice system is supposed to work. I know that's hard for your pea brain to absorb because you've obviously already tried and convicted the man. I wouldn't want you to be my judge... Judged before all the evidence is there..... Wonder how clean your hands are? I would only be embarassed if I realized that I was a gossip, and had hurt someone with that. Wonder how embarassed you would be if people knew who you were; making all these statements? Obviously you're still under the rock........

It looks like I ruffled your feathers. Maybe if you would remove your head from Hawk's ass long enough you will see what type of person he really is. He has all his minions fooled, including you. Take off your rose colored glasses. I know you are upset that the trial was ONCE AGAIN moved to another date. The man is guilty of beating his wife and should serve jail time for it. End of story.

Remove yours from some liberals..........the people who cry for tolerance are the most intolerable. You are a perfect example. Not worth my time, if all the ammunition you have is profanity and accusations. What a hater!

so who do we support if dave is convicted? I understand that if he is convicted as a felon, he will be removed from office and the county commissioners will appoint someone to serve the remainder of his term. Need to start on this now as the May court date will come up pretty quick.

Wow! You really are a genius, aren't you? Yes, I am being sarcastic of course. I happen to be a conservative Republican. Once again, you are clueless about something you know nothing about. Give up! Since I'm not worth your time, I won't be expecting you to reply to me again. Get your facts straight next time!

Hawk should ask for a bench trial and waive a jury trial. Don't plea to domestic assault. If Hawk is convicted of the felony or domestic assault he's out of office via Constitution. Hawk's ace in the hole is federal judge's finding against Hawk's wife that she lacks credibility and is more than willing to manufacture evidence. At the very least, if Hawk is convicted at a bench trial he can appeal on a very credible basis. His wife's lack of credibility is reasonable doubt.
