Why not just let the commissioners be the jury. That's what happened in Tim White's case. If I were Dave this is what I'd push for. That way we know he'd walk free.

Seems Hawk's hot shot out of town lawyers failed him! Lol! Seems to me he SHOULD HAVE taken care of his case when in General Sessions Court. He could have asked for anger management classes & then had everything dismissed if he did what he was supposed to do. Instead, he's now facing a more serious felony charge. Arrogance & stupidity by the defense team or the client. Who is the loser? You pick. I'm thinking the black eye we the citizens are wearing makes us all losers in this mess. How much is this prosecution costing the tax payer? He could not keep his personal affairs (no pun intended) under control. He could not manage his own house much less the House in Nashville!!!! Speaking of Nashville, lets not forget the bar room brawl a few years back. I'm a Republican but did NOT vote for him!! I'm disappointed he had the support he did. She has her issues but he could have walked away instead of acting violently. If he would do the mother of his child that way then HOW would he do us, mere payers of his salary???!!!

Do you ever consider that he might have done this, as he was alleged to have done to a prior wife?
You said it "alleged". Never proven. I will wait until the trial and verdict thank you. So many people want to believe the worst about someone. I doubt there is one person on here that hasn't had someone tell a vicious lie on them, and know how frustrating that is. So get off your high horse. Now what's her history like? Wasn't there a verdict in a previous marriage concerning her behaviour just lately? What did that article say? My point here is, let he who is without sin on this site cast the first stone. I threw mine down a long time ago........

My only worry is....where there is enough smoke, there is a fire. The gran jury saw something to make them go for the hire charge.....when the public sees it, will we feel the same? And again, 3 wives and 3 wives that report that he was violent. Doesn't that make you think? I'm going to the trial, and can't wait to hear who will be there.

Your comment doesn't make sense. Are you saying because someone "alleges" something they're automatically guilty? If he or anyone else is proven guilty that's another thing. I just said "alleged" doesn't mean guilty. A lot of these comments have already tried the man. How many times the woman been married? Any accusations from her former husbands? Does that make her automatically guilty? As I said, double standard.......

Sorry, I'm not David......There are people waiting for the outcome of a fair trial. If he's guilty, then that's another story. Just doing what I would want someone to do for me if I had been accused of something. Not judge me before I could have a fair trial or hearing. That's America.

I actually don't think this will ever go before a jury. After inditing him on the new charge, I think that he'll plea out to a misdemeanor charge.

So, which are you? Hawk, his wife, or God? Because only those 3 know for sure what really happened, before, during, and after the "incident".( And the baby, of course, but luckily its unlikely he/she will remember.) He may actually be guilty (and if so, SHOULD be punished) but given her history of deception with her ex she isn't exactly credible herself, from what the newspapers have reported. Someone on another thread said there were bruises. That's compelling evidence, enough for a grand jury indictment. It's highly unlikely that a woman would make something like that up and bruise herself. But it's not unheard of. I could not make a judgment unless I was actually on a jury and heard ALL evidence (and not just rumors). Hopefully justice will prevail, whoever turns out to be the guilty party.
