Missing clause in the Constitution of the United States...

I think the founders really messed up. If they would have included the following clause in the Constitution, things would have worked out so much better....
Congress shall pass no law such that the affected results thereof, reward a man (or woman) for being lazy.

The real issue is that we treat the constitution as if it is still relevant today. The drafters could not have seen 236 years ago what our country would look like today. As a result we have many amendments that have no relevance in today's society. But woh be the heathen that wants to update it to fit our society today. Somethings are still very necessary but many of the reasons for the amendments don't even exist anymore.

..yet there is a prescribed method to go about changing the Constitution. Why don't we follow it? I'm ok with any amendment as long as we follow the rules.

..in this way the Constitution still is and should be totally relevant. It's not God's document, it's the peoples. People can change it if they go about it lawfully.
