The player that Duncan recuited in here did not move here with parents. and he did bring him here and was trying to get others in here. Others quite do to this new boy . His first practice put him on varsity and moved the other to JV. Talking about not doing the kids fair. The freshman team had to use vistors dressing room and look at the little signs the got. They paid the sameabout as the others. He talks about treating them all the same and building up confidence, how is that gonna do anything. He doesnt include them in anything...
...word to the wise...don't talk about the new guy..bottom line duncan had nothing to do with his family moving here..if u got questions..his mom stays in helenwood and his brother works the clock at the games...ask them

He talked about the quality of athletes he had at GHS. He said they were not as good coming and other things. I will not say what he said about Ethnicity but lack there of was a problem to him. He goes wherever the talent is. He said talent is dropping and then jumped ship. Yeah he recruited, and as a teacher just rolled the ball out. Not a good teacher, he should have stayed in Admin. I think he would or was a good admin. He seems like a big enough mouth. He ate lunch from off school grounds daily. That kinda stuff was suppose to NOT be allowed but Coaches get away with everything. I know the girls coach is constantly on her phone and students do not get help they need due to her txt'n. As a person I really avoided Duncan. He should do good if he has talent but if he must do a lot of work he will be gone again. No doubt he knows basketball, but he could never turn a program around. He can only coch if he has good talent. The national team is good and all, but not going to win state with the caliber teams he had early on is just sad. He should be ok if they have a good team.

I heard from a teacher the sign for the freshmans only cost 8 dollars so what happen to the rest of the money? Sponsors paid that money to be put on that player and then they get treated differently..
But the reasoning behind the smaller signs was they said they didnt have enough room. From what I see there is enough room there. I guess they had to have some kind of excuse

I never liked him.. I don't have a kid in high school and I didnt go to GHS, so dont think I am judging him by that. He just was ugly acting during all the experiences I had with him. I do wish him well in what ever he does thou. Just not a person I liked. Just my opinion.

Find it amusing that Coach Duncan did not advance in region beyond 1st Round which is what previous coach did. Feel bad for team though. I think Coach likes to toot his own horn.

I'm 53 now, I played for Coach Duncan back in '75. For some reason I was sitting around wondering which jail he was in, and then I stumbled across this discussion.

Sounds like he hasn't changed.

So what is the deal with this guy? He sent in an resume to Campbell County withiin minutes of an opening. So will he be in LaFollette one yr till something better comes along? Is he unhappy or harder to recruit there or what?

I worked with Bill Duncan. I can safely say that there a lot of young men in Greeneville much better off just for knowing Coach Duncan. he has supported alot of his players long after they graduated. He has tried to make their lives better. It may be tough to take orders from a woman but she is ultimately the one in charge. One of his players, that was not always a starter, is with Coach Duncan in Scott County. Says something about the way the players feel about him as a man, not just a coach.

Chris Poore is the new Head coach for Scott High boys basketball. He us familiar with the system that was ran b4. He likes to RUN the floor alot, if coach Daddy Duncan would had ran the floor more with that Athletes they had last year like Jacob Sexton,Nathan Griffth, Bradly Brooks, Tyler King, and David Lane maybe they would had a better season. Back to Coach Poore, I love the way he coaches, he knows what he is doing. He had led us to a great summer season beating 3A schools like clinton, and giving schools like 3A Knox Central a run. We had a great summer season with the talent we had coming in from previous year. Cant wait to see what we will do in the next season go highlanders
