Unless they are a owner/operator or work for some fly by night comp they wont work a 85 hour week.ITS AGAINST THE LAW,and w the GPS systems on modern trucks they(companies, state troopers,DOT) know exactly how many hours the driver has been running, what speed they have been drivin, and they can even tell ya how many mpg's the truck is gettin, even if its in CA.IIRC they can only run 10 hours and a team(two drivers) can only run 20 hours.Unless you live somewhere where theres 8.5 days in a week a single driver, workin for a modern repudible comp, wont drive 85 hours.
In the old days of pickle parks, and 3mpg trucks lots of drivers worked those kind of hours but not so much anymore.
actually now its 70 hours in eight days so you gain back days until your working about 85- yes its unsafe yes you get tired but production has to be made - there is hope the new rules will limit it to 70 hours no ifs ands or butts about it with a $11,000 company fine UNLESS WE ELECT MITT ROMNEY then the copmany will get their way no fines for them and the game goes on as it is be safe out there GOD BLESS YOU

Bad idea. Unions were needed 100+ years ago. Now, all they are good for is extortion and padding the pockets of enemies of this country and criminal activity.

The fact is, Union members make LESS than their non union counterparts. The more prolific unions, the less jobs that are available. Add that fact to the current economic climate and you will see Greeeville drop even further.
