Your saying YOU do not feel Indians deserve anything and blacks were on the TRAIL of TEARS makes one think you may not deserve your pension. Some military draw LOTs of money, 4 figures. Some lied telling they saw stuff they didn't in order to get more for flashbacks of killings.
Compare yourself to them.No different.
The government sets aside much money to distribute to worthy Americans. But if he married an Indian,he was also accepted as Indian then and there through the court system of Indian Affairs Courts.Indians were very uneducated, not even knowing their age nor parents often, born into mixed races ,renegades, like we have never imagined. Hungry starving Indians allowed other hungry starving people to travel along to help out and to be safe AND to be a part of a huge hungry people. There was a good side too to that. They shared food..Nature took over too probably.
MY granddaddy was Cherokee, very tall, big, black hair, dark,my granny a little Irish woman, and they were dirt poor in the crowd.Great granddaddy full bloodied Cherokee Indian.
We can't throw rocks at our ancestors which might be a little mix of all.All hungry driven off the land to starve trying to get to so called reservations. Many fell hungry by the wayside, and never made it..
I knew a little old lady,95, who went to OKLA in a covered wagon,staked a claim,just married,pulled a cow,Daddy's gift,,and had dirt floors there.What a story she had.Pigs had mange,saved one,so sad.

I don't think that anyone disagrees that there is fraud/abuse in these programs, but it seems they could concentrate more on finding the fraud/abuse instead of arbitrary across the board cuts.

WE cover 13 counties with :
Tenncare Medicare Medicaid /Va /Disability
FRAUD/WASTE/ABUSE.
Trained in Jackson with TBI and FBI. Have access to those people to report such BUT you must have proof, must be sure, must be right or end up in court "trying" to defend yourself.
You can't just call up ,say I want to report so and so.People have rights to PRIVACY.That Act changed how things are done.(PRIVACY ACT).
As a licensed person,One can no longer give or get information on individuals just because one "feels"
or 'Thinks" they are abusing the system. There to help not hurt.
Many find hole in the system and use to get more but many have a need too.
South Central Developement works to sincerly help others. And once you get in the system, help is on the way.MENTAL Or MEDICAL. LIke CIGNA,has two sides.Cigna private or Cigna/Medicare.
Unfortunately, there are loopholes that are open to fraud, waste and abuse.Claims of Depression are qualifiers.
Acceptable documention to VA/Court may contain lies the caseworker is not aware of.Then it goes on and on thru the system. All kinds of abuse but P_R_O_V_E it.
You can't anymore. It's out of control.

Obama did not win, nobody won for nothing got fixed.
The debt goes up,he still has next round to worry about, and while this round was handed to him, next one may not be. There will be a bigger problem next round for him to face.
Nancy Pelosi wants it worked out before then or by November 30th. Maybe she's right.CRUZ HAS BACKING.NOT LEAVING.Will be even more diffucult.
WE are being graded around the world as UNSTABLE..

<quoted text>NT we have different views on politics that is for sure, but the one thing we have in common is the fact we are both Americans.
Now we can start with that fact and go forward.......no name calling, as it is easier to converse without it.
I do remember your post about taking "stuff" to Mexico and Canada, at the same time you connected it with Unions, that is what turned me off, that is why I didn't respond. But besides that it was taking American jobs away. Not sure about the empty boxes(Made in the U.S.A.) going to other countries.....maybe the boxes were made in the U.S.A., to be filled with foreign made "stuff". I also have always tried to buy American through out my entire life. I also try my hardest to stay away from "Toshiba" as one of their subsidiarys recieved a program(from the Defense Dept.) on just how to design a propeller for submarines to run very quiet. So of course they sold the software to the Soviet Union. After that our subs would come back and their Captains(Commander level) would say it was very quiet out there.
THANKS TOSHIBA!.
Now NT, we can move forward on this one issue "Jobs", as Americans or we can go on and squabble about "stuff".
BTW, I hope you are not texting while driving your big rig.
Remember, Safety First!
D. You have to realize that I do not care much for Unions. I have watched Teamsters burn owner operators trucks because they were upset that these owner operators were contracted to haul the freight that those union drivers refused to haul. UAW goes on strike and stops work without a care for the non union companies that supply them with their raw materials or other parts necessary for the assembly of an automobile. Many of these people affected by the strikes and slow downs of unions are the same little guy or poor people that Liberals, like yourself, claim to be all for helping. There are also the outside loads that I hauled to Ford and GMC. I used to love sitting on a dock door for 3-4 hours waiting on some forklift driver to get my truck unloaded. A truck typically had about 20 pallets on it back then. When I drove a forklift, I could load or unload 20 skids in 15-30 minutes. One day I had to walk back in one of these warehouses to use the restroom. There sat 4 forklift drivers playing cards. And no it was not on their break. This was in the '80's and these "unloaders" were making $20+/hr to sit and play cards while the drivers they were supposed to be unloading were losing money.

Even Linda a couple of days ago posted that in the business world money is the name of the gamey. She even had no problem, according to her, with leaving a public service position and going to, not one but two, successive positions for the money. Then she comes on here and rails against the "super wealthy" for not paying their fair share.

How do you propose to get enough people to make a difference by buying American when many, if not most, barely have enough to buy what they need at the cheapest possible price?

The deal on the empty boxes was exactly as you said. The printing and cutting of the boxes is done in the USA. The products are made in other countries, most of the ones I dealt with were going to Mexico but I saw a few for China. However the shoppers only see, "Made it the USA" or "Made in America" on the box and they buy it. BTW, be wary of "Made in America" Canada, Mexico, Panama, Brazil, you catch my drift are all "American Countries" and that advertising could legally be used for their products as well. Anything to increase sales, right?

Our own Government is not without blame for many of the jobs leaving this country. Regulations by OSHA, EPA just to name a couple of agencies that regulate businesses out of business or at least out of competition with American labor, not to mention the affect that NAFTA had and still has.

All this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to outsourcing jobs.

So, tell me D where do you want to start.

The father of Tyrone Woods, the Navy SEAL killed while trying to rescue others, joined Huckabee on Saturday night. Charles Woods wrote to President Obama in search of an explanation as to why his son was given the order to stand down.

The president wrote back, but Woods said he didn’t answer the two most important questions. Woods spoke to a reporter who said that they personally talked to a friend of Ty who was on the ground with him in Benghazi. The friend claims that there were three orders to stand down. Woods told Huckabee,“That […] probably would’ve saved the life of our ambassador if there had not been that delay three times.”

President Obama told Woods in the letter... VIDEO

America is at an historic divide between rulers and rulees and the rulees are restless. Hightower's THIEVES IN HIGH PLACES is an epistle to the American people about vision and choices, and it's a clarion call to action. The question Jim Hightower is asking is: What kind of country do you want America to be? Not only for you, but for your children and theirs? In THIEVES IN HIGH PLACES Hightower takes on the Bushites, the Wobblycrats, and the corporate Kleptocrats, digging up behind-the scenes dirt that the corporate media overlooks like BushCo's "Friday Night Massacres", what's happened to our food, and the Bush plan for empire. Also drawing on Hightower's Rolling Thunder Down-Home Democracy Tour, Hightower has tapped into the thriving activist networks that are our country's grassroots muscle, and his book tells their uplifting stories of retaking control of their communities.

dad gum those pesky safety rules for employees. So what if they lose a finger, hand, arm, die of exposuer to asbestos, that pain in the rump EPA that makes companies properly dispose of waste instead of just tossing it...So what if the ground water is polluted with carcinogens, or the air is such that folks get sick breathing it. Those agencies need to go because corps. could make more money if all they had to consider was their proffit. Does not affect the CEO's family, so what is the big deal???

Yes this was fortunate for Dow that it happened in India, because it would have been far more costly in the United States. Pesky agencies like OSHA and the EPA do not interfere with corp. proffit in India, like in the U.S. If we did away with these agencies we might keep more jobs here in the U.S. Those occupying those jobs might not live very long, or be very healthy, but those poor CEOs would not have to consider employee or community safety and could finally maximize proffit without restraint. Don't it just make you feel sorry for those poor CEOs. I am sure noone cpnsiders those people who died in Bhopal.

My Kids brought up an interesting POV. They said, when the TEA Party Members are constantly whining and crying about THEIR tax dollars being spent to help the Poor and Needy, that they call "Takers"...they wanted to say, what about their, and my, Tax Dollars that are going to the Schools to educate the Teabaggers Spoiled Brats? What about that???
Yet, you never hear any of us Childless, and Grandchild-less Democrats whining and crying about that, or even complaining about it.
To me, that kinda of says it all about the differences between the Greedy Teabaggers and the Democrats way of thinking about this
