In 2007, it was still 4.5-5.0 (too early for you liberals to affect the economy. In the middle of 2008, it went up to 7.0 and then 7.6 ... Rem now----you liberals had both houses in 2007 (Nov.2006 thru Nov.2012)I guess you forgot that. The economy was going just fine until you got there. Bush even told congress that the banks were going to crash but Barry, Harry, Pelosi,(shall I go on) decide to ruin the country into one where everybody relies on the government to provide them with jobs, healthcare, food....everything for their sole and a vote. Yeah , you Sas and the other liberals have taken them in hook line and sinker and are the hallmark of the liberals accomplishments.

Good Morning Linda, you are right about these banks buying all this "stuff". But what were these Representative's doing to try to get the Glass-Steagull Act reinstated.......nothing. As the link even said the Banks were not allowed to do this until the new Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act erased that part of the Glass-Steagull Act.
BTW, foreign countries have been doing this for some time.

Spot-on Linda our Commander in Chief Obama will be using technology instead of blood and guts. But I hope it does not get to even that.
Now Syria, I'm sure has some advanched weapons also, so I hope our Navy does not go into any action thinking Syria will be a push over.

So if the house and the senate passes a piece of legislation, that is about 600 people representing the whole country, one man/woman can stand in it way. Come on liberal be real. If the house defunds the Obamacare and fully funds the Government, do you really think Obama is going to sign it. Yes, he will hold it up and blame the repubs for shutting down the gov. I am so sick of you liberals high and mighty attitude that only you and your kind can save America when in the last 5-6 years your senate has not even brought up legislation from the house to be voted on. They also have not produced one piece of legislation themselves... QUite crying,,,, Only the stupid agree with your side anymore.Thats one thing we cannot fix is stupid

Blessed be the beard lice from Allah!

Sharia Authority in Aleppo

By the name of God most merciful most gracious

Circulation number (12)

Thanks to God and prayers and greetings to our master Muhammad and his family and companions, then..

The Sharia Authority in Aleppo has prohibited the killing of lice that appears in the Muslim beard, as some of the Muslim brothers who have released [grown] their beards in accordance with prophet Muhammad PBuH Sunnah [prophet's doctrine], blessed lice has appeared in their beards, and that’s because of their lack of bathing due to the water non-availability all the time on the Jihad [holy war] fronts, and they have limited to ablution before their prayers (may God accept it), thus their beards became moist and thick, which made of it (in God’s will) a natural place for lice to live in.

The Sharia Authority in Aleppo recommends the Mujahideen [holy fighters] brothers to dye their beards with Henna, like our prophet Muhammad PBuH, the thing that would reduce the itching caused by the lice, and to maintain this lice that would have not appeared in those blessed beards, if it was not from God’s Muslim believing creatures.

Who disobeys this Sharia fatwa [advisory opinion] which has been confirmed right by a number of the senior scholars in Aleppo, will be punished with 50 lashes by Sharia, and other measures will be taken against him in the Shaira Court in Aleppo.

Bayless, I was not on this forum when President Bush had Gen. Powell attack Iraq. But I was also at the time on President Bush's side to attack as he did a remarkable job at selling that war........even Powell bought it.
But as time went on and more intel came out(that was silenced before the attack) it was quite obvious we American were taken as fools and other Americans died an early death while others were wounded and will still be wounded up until the day they die.
Look at Iraq today, it's a quagmire of bombings and killings.

Tolerance from the 'religion of peace'....

Christian woman explains why she faces hanging in Pakistan for the crime of ‘blasphemy’

More and more people join the crowd as they push me towards the home of the village headman. I recognize the house — it’s the only one that has a garden with grass growing in it. They throw me to the ground. The village imam speaks to me:“I’ve been told you’ve insulted our Prophet. You know what happens to anyone who attacks the holy Prophet Mohammed. You can redeem yourself only by conversion or death.”

“I haven’t done anything! Please! I beg you! I’ve done nothing wrong!”

The qari with his long, well-combed beard, turns to Musarat and the three women who were there on the day of the falsa harvest.

Asia Bibi

“Did she speak ill of Muslims and our holy Prophet Mohammed?”

“Yes, she insulted them,” replies Musarat, and the others join in:

“It’s true, she insulted our religion.”

“If you don’t want to die,” says the young mullah,“you must convert to Islam. Are you willing to redeem yourself by becoming a good Muslim?”

Sobbing, I reply:

“No, I don’t want to change my religion. But please believe me, I didn’t do what these women say, I didn’t insult your religion. Please have mercy on me.”

I put my hands together and plead with him. But he is unmoved.

“You’re lying! Everyone says you committed this blasphemy and that’s proof enough. Christians must comply with the law of Pakistan, which forbids any derogatory remarks about the holy Prophet. Since you won’t convert and the Prophet cannot defend himself, we shall avenge him.”

He turns on his heel and the angry crowd falls on me. I’m beaten with sticks and spat at. I think I’m going to die. Then they ask me again:

“Will you convert to a religion worthy of the name?”

“No, please, I’m a Christian, but I beg you ...”

And they go on beating me with the same fury as before.

I was barely conscious and could hardly feel the pain of my wounds by the time the police arrived. Two policemen threw me in their van, to cheers from the angry crowd, and a few minutes later I was in the police station in Nankana Sahib.

In the police chief’s office they sat me down on a bench. I asked for water and compresses for the wounds on my legs, which were streaming with blood. A young policeman threw me an old dishcloth and spat out at me:

“Here, and don’t get it everywhere.”

One of my arms really hurt and I thought it might be broken. Just then I saw the qari come in with Musarat and her gang. With me sitting there they told the police chief that I insulted the Prophet Mohammed. From outside the police station I could hear shouts:

“Death to the Christian!”

After writing up the report the policeman turned and called to me in a nasty voice:

“So what have you got to say for yourself?”

“I’m innocent! It’s not true! I didn’t insult the Prophet!”

Immediately after I’d protested my innocence I was manhandled into the police van and driven away. During the journey I passed out from pain and only came back to myself as we were arriving at Sheikhupura prison, where I was thrown into a cell.

Since that day I haven’t left prison.

Powell wasn't a general then, he was secretary of state.

Military force should be used only if there is a clear, achievable, realistic purpose. Missile strikes are unlikely to deter the Assad regime and prevent further abuses. Rather, the U.S. risks escalating its involvement in the crisis.

Much like President Clinton’s ineffective cruise missile strikes on Osama bin Laden’s terrorist camps, strikes would only be seen as a sign that the U.S. is lacking a clear, decisive course of action. The Middle East would see this as another effort from the Obama to look for an “easy button” and lead from behind rather than exercise real, constructive leadership.

They can pass as many bills as they wish, the bills only become law if the president signs them...or, if he vetoes a bill and Congress gets 2/3 majority in both chambers.

Of course, Congress has abdicated their authority under the constitution by allowing a plethora of government agencies to make 'law', enforce 'law', and then also serve as judge and jury.

The EPA is an excellent example.

On this Syria issue...

I cant say I would be suprised if "American" contractors actually used the chemical weapons.

You have all of these companies and individuals used to making hundreds of millions of dollars off of the U.S government that are suddenly cut off from their contracts because Iraq is over and Afghanistan is winding down.

All they would have to do to get more contracts is do something that would get the U.S involved in another war, cross that "red line". Hire some ragheads to do it, whatever you need to do, spend a $100,000 to profit millions later. Think about it.

Its just with my experiences of escorting empty trucks around for KBR, so KBR could get paid, while we were risking our butts. No telling how many U.S soldiers have been killed in order to fulfill a contract.

Then another American contractor that goes to Uganda, pays some skinnies a few bucks to come to a war zone, sit at the chow hall and point a loaded AK-47 at you every time your alittle slow getting your ID out. And the military allows it, actually encourages it, because the top brass will work for contractors after they retire....MUCH like former congress members becoming lobbyists.

These contractors will stop at nothing, I mean nothing. I just hope that the investigators will consider every option before they decide to start picking sides in this Syrian conflict.

LMAO! Congress can pass them all day long, but it'll never become Law, if the President doesn't sign it...It's called a "VETO". TEApublicans have a difficult time understanding that concept...maybe, because it's new to them since they know NOTHING about how Gov't. works. They're still trying to figure out who , and what, comprises "Congress"...and they've been working on that for 4 and a half years...and still can't get it right.
Of course, watching CSPAN would help, but if it ain't FOX, they ain't watching it!
