SO WHAT! The liberals in Mass. can take care of that without our help. I don't really care how they killed them, just so long as they did and do.
That is amazing, just who do you mean by Liberals?
The Funeral Director, the Police? Just how do you know if they are Liberal or Conservative?
Does it really matter if they are Conservative or Liberal?

So was Obama's so-called "Affordable Health Care Act"! So is the majority of this administrations executive policy. There are many socialists and marxists in our government...I'm just not sure why you celebrate this fact unless you are in accord with their agenda. If you cannot comprehend the import of this abhorence you will only remain a part of the problem.
The theoretical design of marxism and socialism demand the replacement of constitutional "representative governance," the separation of powers, limited or restrictive powers and prominently - "capitalism"! This necessarilly progresses counter-inuitively to any recognizable precept of personal freedom and liberty. History provides a wealth of understanding of the inherent dangers of centralizing state power and control, I hope you will.
Another one of those marxist/socialist "indoctrination by repetitiveness" posts "Willard" ?
Let's see,... what was it you called those who engaged in those tactics ??? Something catchy ......."useful".....

I was laughed at for questioning the Boston Bombing even though 17 out of 20 terror attacks in the last 10 years were FBI manipulated and this seemed it might be following the pattern those usually take.
So go buy some little drone bees, they do lots of other errands also.
"they have made little drone like bees" ? Who have made little drone like bees ? What do the Boston bombings have to do with honey bees anyway ?

You have hit the nail on the head. There are indeed, two Americas, and it IS the rurals against the city folk.
Unfortunately, it seems to always be the city folk trying to force their mores on the rurals.
Most city (and suburbs like Newtown CT) people have never even seen a gun in person.
Most rurals have small arsenals.
Most city folk don't even have a vehicle. Rurals can't NOT have a vehicle.
Why can't we all just CoExiSt?
Well, I hope we can. Here is the issue, cities have a problem with guns and crime, even when they severly limit access to them. Criminals can drive out of the city, in some cases to another state where gun laws are lax, buy guns without background checks and bring them back to the city, where they can be sold to criminals at a premium. They end up being used in crimes against honest law abiding citizens, and those citizens put pressure on THEIR elected reps to DO SOMETHING !
Rural folks, while we have our own issues with crime, aren't subjected to the same circumstances as those who live in cities.
The trick is to get some balance that is the most fair to all concerned.
My post was made to place on the table the fact (and it is a fact) that a majority of Americans want some sensible gun legislation...BECAUSE that majority lives in cities. Ask the County Sheriff in any rural county and guns are the least of his problems, and probably not even on his radar. Ask a city chief of police and gun violence is at the top of his list.
You posted that those folks in Sandy Hook probably never saw a gun in person. Well, Connecticut is a tiny state, but it was (in some cases still is) the home to Colt Firearms, Winchester, Marlin, Mossburg, and more. All were huge enterprises and all employed thousands upon thousands of Connecticut residents. I suspect those folks have all seen a gun.
I hope and pray that no other parent ever has to go through what those parents in Newtown have had to go through, but every parent should try to walk a mile in their shoes before condemning their activism for stricter gun laws. If what has happened to them had happened to me, I don't know if I could act with as much grace and in as respectful a manner as they have.

Hi Sassy. First, I wanted to comment about your post on Bumble Bees. I don't know when the last time was that I saw one. I didn't even take notice until I saw your post. That is sort of concerning.
Second, I realize you want our president to succeed, and believe it or not, so do I. I can't afford to go through an economy as bad as this one for too long. Therefore, I hope our President is highly successful and will applaud him when he is. Today's unemployment data is a great sign. However, the stock market is going up strictly due to one thing - the Fed's policy on interest rates. Our low interest rates are what is spurring the stock market. If you can't make money investing in CD's, Bonds, fixed rate mutual funds, etc., there is only one avenue left ... the stock market. Once inflation starts to trend upward or once the housing market has somewhat recovered, interest rates are going to start rising. When they do, the stock market will take a hit. Right now, it is the only game in town regarding investments. If you care to research, you will find that the stocks paying dividends are the ones driving up the Dow.
That is a good explaination "Pete" and I agree with every word. I will add three things.
1) Those huge corporations are doing pretty well, even with the current economic situation in this country and Europe. It is Main Street that is still mired in recession, only in SLIGHTLY better shape than a few years ago.
2) Our tax policy incentivises passive income over actually making or doing things, so money flows to the most attractive passive investment of the moment and drives bubble and crash after bubble and crash instead of a slow steady incline toward wealth.
3) Unemployment numbers help the stock market by keeping labor costs low but harms Main Street, which depends on disposable income to grow and prosper.
A two tiered system that is increasingly disconnected.

But seriously O.T., I really hope they do get a handle on this Bee issue, so you can start your hives again.
Many years back where I was living, I knew this Russian guy who raised bees for pollen. So I would buy it off him and put it on my cereal, yogurt, ect. to help with the local allergy issue.

I read some of the info. you posted about on GMO's and I tend to agree that there may well be unintended consequences of all that genetic manipulation.....although I am a LONG way from a scientist. I'm not happy with Monsanto lawing farmers for replanting seed harvested last year, and the Roundup resistant super weeds are now a problem in most farm fields.
Those points of agreement with you aren't enough for old "Hey" though.....In order to have a conversation with you, a poster has to subscribe to all of your conspiracy theories....911, FBI false flag operations, and every other conspiracy that has ever been dreamed up by those I consider a bunch of nuts.

Hey "Dunlapian". I know of other people who use bee pollen to treat allergies, especially in kids, and I know some who claim there is nothing better than raw honey to protect cuts and burns from infection.
I talked to a customer this morning who is having some luck with those little black honey bees as opposed to the Italian strain. The problem is, those little black bees aren't calm and easy to work like the Italian strain is. Rob those hives, and they get mad as heck !

I "think" Bumble Bees mainly just pollinate Flowers that aren't food producers, but it's interesting that they have become scarce, too, to my way of thinking. There has to be a connection, I would think, but who knows for sure.
I don't know much about bumble bees and honey bees, but I do know that every year there is no shortage of those pesky wood boring bees on our front porch.

Hi OT,

This is one area we will have to disagree on. For instance, regarding #2, short term capital gains are taxed more heavily than long term capital gains. That incents investors to hold their investments longer. I don't exactly know what you mean by a passive investment, but our current tax policy incents any and all investment, i.e,. IRA, Roth, 401k, lower taxes on capital gains and dividends, etc. It really doesn't favor one type of investing over another, it simply entices investment whether it be individuals or corporations.

Regarding #3, if corporations aren't staffed to an efficient level, they lose money. They can't make as much, can't distribute as much, etc. I agree, corporations aren't currently maintaining a full staff, but I don't think it is because they want to. Most corporations are waiting to see what the full effects of our new healthcare laws are going to be before determining what level of staffing they want. I am by no means a large corporation, but I am doing that and it is of my opinion that if I'm doing that, there are others. Some have publicly stated they are doing this. When you have a rather large payroll tax looming on the horizon, corporations are going to take the conservative approach to hiring until they can figure out exactly what the tax is and what balance will be optimal between output and labor costs.

I realize you probably don't agree with what I have said, but I do enjoy hearing your viewpoints on subjects such as these even though they may be different than mine. Hope you have a great weekend!

Let's see, we have half of one percent differential to work with...yeah, looks good!:-) Break out the party hats and balloons...how much is a new bass-boat? I'll cut a memo in the morning...hire hire hire!! Besides, the economists attesting to actual unemployment rates of 13-15% are just partisan party-poopers, we can have "Seal Team 6" take their sorry asses out!! what the hell do they know, anyway? Our president is spending upward of a trillion dollars a year..how could we ever fail? LMAO!:-))
OW, the way I see it, the record highs in the stock market are happening because the Fed is constantly printing more money. This makes everything worth more Dollars while,, at the same time, devaluing the Dollar. So while everything is worth more Dollars and the Dollar being worth less we are, at best if that, breaking even. Incidentally, all this printing of new money only helps the portfolios of people who are heavily invested in the stock market, making them appear richer. It does not help the average person with their 401K that much because they do not have enough in the market to be affected by it. It also hinders the poor more because it causes everything they buy to be more expensive.

I said I was wondering about the Boston bombings because of the same patterns it was taking .Things coming out by the so called conspiracy nuts that were denied by FBI etc which later on were admitted to.
When you have 17 out of 20 terror plots in the US in 10 years that come to light as FBI involved I would say(and the education I received tells me and others that this could be another FBI spin.
It would be showing a lack of intelligence to see the past history of what has gone on and NOT WONDER.
As far as 9/11 goes, the firefighters, the family members who lost loved ones, building evperts, etc, etc, gave their reasons as to why they see problems with the official stories on some parts of 9/11 and I can see where they are coming from.If they were going against what God of truth and an all knowing God would say then one might put more weight to the official story. Is that really where those fine folks in DC or Big Corp. are coming from? These others who are questioning these things have credibility and it appears reality on their side,Does this make them fools and therefor me also?

I still cannot understand why they spent 20 hours after the shootout doing a house by house search for suspect #2 instead of letting their K9's track him from the abandoned SUV to his hiding place. There was even a blood trail. I'm sure he even had traces of explosives on him that would also be trackable. Why would they do a house to house search instead?
