N.C. High School Student Arrested for Accidentally Leaving Gun in His Truck Gets Huge (Awesome) Surprise!

David "Cole" Withrow has been expelled and received a felony charge for accidentally leaving his shotgun in his truck at school and calling his mother to come pick it up when he realized the mistake.

Withrow, a high school senior and Eagle Scout, had been skeet shooting the day before the incident and inadvertently neglected to store his firearm. Once he realized his error, he immediately locked the gun in his truck and went inside the school to call his mom so she could come pick it up.

But a Princeton High School official overhead Withrow's phone call to his mother and the school promptly called the police. After the gun was discovered in his truck, he was arrested and charged with a felony. The school is not allowing Withrow to return to school of the rest of the year

Now, Liberty University is stepping in to make sure that the high school senior will be able to continue on to college.

"In reaction to the gun control debate in America, Liberty University recently loosened - not strengthened - its concealed weapons policy on campus, and is now providing a scholarship to a North Carolina high school student who was arrested for leaving a shotgun in his pick-up truck in the school parking lot," the school announced in a press release.

"We have a scholarship fund for outstanding students, such as honor students like him. So, because of what he's been through and how he's been mistreated for making an honest mistake...I went ahead and awarded him a scholarship," -Jerry Falwell

Liberty University allows qualified students, faculty and staff to carry concealed firearms on campus and in all buildings, excluding residence halls...how many shootings have there been??? NONE

The concept of Man's rights being unalienable is based solely upon the belief in their Divine origin. Lacking this belief, there is no moral basis for any claim that they are unalienable or for any claim to the great benefits flowing from this concept. God-given rights are sometimes called Natural Rights--those possessed by Man under the Laws of Nature, meaning under the laws of God's creation and therefore by gift of God. Man has no power to alienate--to dispose of, by surrender, barter or gift--his God-given rights, according to the American philosophy. This is the meaning of "unalienable."
So, if your complete and utterly false claim that 'man' "gave" us these 'rights' were true...then there would be NO rights; only privileges granted by men - and easily taken away.
That is simply not true and you know it. I'm not even going to justify your Ideoplogical Propaganda by encouraging you to expound on it. anybody who actually knows the teachings of God and Jesus already know that is PURE BUNK, so it's not necessary for me to post it!
I wouldn't have thought that you would use God to promote your own Personal Agenda, but obviously, I was wrong! That makes you a Hypocrite, IMO, Nuh and I just lost all respect for you and your opinions!
It just proves that False Prophets come in all shapes, sizes, and disguises and some of them are very tricky and conveniencing, but sooner or later, they all expose themselves for what they really are...HYPOCRITES...and Hypocrites have no true Faith, at all, they only pretend to, so they can get what they want from People and that disgusts me!

You have hit the nail on the head. There are indeed, two Americas, and it IS the rurals against the city folk.

Unfortunately, it seems to always be the city folk trying to force their mores on the rurals.

Most city (and suburbs like Newtown CT) people have never even seen a gun in person.

Most rurals have small arsenals.

Most city folk don't even have a vehicle. Rurals can't NOT have a vehicle.

Why can't we all just CoExiSt?

You may disagree with me, and this is fine...however - you are wrong. The Creator is who bestowed rights to men - man has no power or authority to do so.

First, please allow me to say I've been remiss in failure to thank you for your service to our people. I also wish to thank you for love of Country brilliantly expressed in everything you post. I must further thank you for remarkable patience with the anagonists desparately fighting to influence public opinion with the putrid rot of Socialism and worse, repeating redundant questions and nonsensical answers for the sake of indoctrination by repetitiveness.

As you've noticed, the tactic of feigned misunderstanding is regularly employed for this same purpose. Dedicated "useful idiots" suffer no shame for their cause. Please know many of us fully realize you are "still" fighting for freedom, even after coming home to rest.

Americans are finally awakening to the painful reality we are now in the throws of a socialist/marxist revolution and the fundamental acrhitecture of capitalism is the primary target.(by the dictates of the communist manifesto)

Americans are beginning to find their voice. Btw, the above post is one of the very best I've ever seen. Thanks!

Dunlapian, if you don't mind me asking, I am curious to know if you live in West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee or East Tennessee. I can easily tell you why East Tennessee always votes Republican, but East Tennessee is much different than other parts of the state, especially west Tennessee. I have noticed in the past you and SSS talking about your local politicians and was just curious about what part of the state you are talking about. No malice intended. Thanks
Good Morning Pete. I live in East Tennessee.
My new State Representative is Ron Travis(R), who barely won an election against Jim Cobb(R) who was arrested for the assault of a Ron Travis supporter in a wheel chair. But later that charge was dropped.
I did talk to Ron about a month or so ago about his position on this chained CPI vs COLA on SS, and he is right behind our Governor, with going with the chained CPI. As is Corker and Alexander. Now when I called there office about this, there Reps. added that both Senators were also for slashing the V.A., so my stomach started to turn, so I hung up.

Since you (and "Willard") have a direct line to the "creator", which arms did he give you the inalienable right to own ? Was a machine gun in that right, A fully automatic weapon, hand grenades, a nuclear bomb ?
Let's have the text which grants such rights to man.....

The media, democrats, and Obama moan about the staggering debt owed by today’s college students. Indeed, student debt is now larger than credit card debt.

And while they complain about the amount of debt, no one questions WHY the cost of college is so high. The cost of going to college has far outpaced inflation, but you don’t find ANYONE investigating it. There are NO congressional hearings. Nothing!

Well, here’s an indication of what’s going on:

Duke Raises Student Fees to Pay for Sex Change Surgery

http://www.campusreform.org/blog/...

“Campus Reform reports that Duke has raised student fees in order to pay for sex change operations for any student who wants one.”

Yeah. You read that right. The college is going to pay for sex change operations.

“Administrators say they will cover the cost of the reassignment surgery up to $50,000. LGBT advocates on campus immediately celebrated the university’s decision.”

So now, a gender challenged individual can run up a bill of $50K to see if going to the other side is gonna work out better for them.

Isn’t that unfair for those who choose not to change their sex? Why does the LGBT person get to spend $50K, but the other students don’t? Sounds like someone should demand their $50K.

Also, there’s no word on how many times a student may utilize this benefit if they change their mind.

Yep! We've got the worst Representatives in Congress and the Senate, that I've ever known us to have...and it's a given about the worst State Representatives and Governor! But, we can leave the State, if we have to, but most of us can't leave the Nation!
If we don't correct the Federal Leaders that we put in office ASAP, when they come up for re-election, unless you're very Wealthy, even you TEApublicans are going to be screwed right along with all the rest of us!
Remember my words...so I won't have to say, I told you so!

Well, he and I have discussed his being in Sequatchie county several times. Not sure if it's Snuff Holler, Daus, or up around the Coke ovens though.

Plus, it does not bother me in the least that you have resorted to namecalling.
