Dunlapian, we disagree on some things, but there is also a lot we do agree on, and this is one of them.

Judged: 1 1 1 Of course when the original video was from NBC I knew it was bogus. They love to edit for the story. Anyone remember the Dateline debacle on the GM pickup trucks in 1993? NBC admitted that they rigged the truck to burst into flames. How about the 911 tapes where they edited out the dispatcher asking Zimmerman the race of the suspicious person he was calling about? They made it seem that Zimmerman offered that info on his own. They edited part of this fathers statement out where he asked if anyone in the room could offer any reason for having high capacity magazines. then they shortened the pause he left while waiting for a reply. The people there waited patiently for him to finish because they thought is was a rhetorical question until he said that no one could answer, then they spoke up after realizing that he was actually asking for their input. Sassy, every time you ignore when someone else posts proof that you have posted a false story, you show further just how unreliable anything you present here is. But you just keep spamming this and other threads to make yourself feel smart. We know the truth and have long since considered the source. |

Judged: 1 1 1 On Tuesday, a number of media outlets, including MSNBC, Slate, the Huffington Post and Gawker, falsely claimed that the father of a slain Newtown victim was heckled as he spoke at a hearing on gun violence in Connecticut. http://www.examiner.com/article/media-falsely... |

Judged: 1 1 1 By that measure, an unscrupulous person could get elected County Sheriff, and protect people who break Federal Law in his/her jurisdiction by refusing access to them by Federal Agents..... yeah right... Just think, a group of little kingdoms. Want to make moonshine and not run afoul of the feds....move to Sodden County Tn. Don't like the Federal Income Tax, move to Have More Money County North Dakota.... Want to open a gun store without a FFL ? Move to Cheap Guns County Arkansas ! It is standard practice for Federal Agents to notify local law enforcement that they are operating in the County, but that notification is not to get permission, simply to avoid confusion. If y'all were right, why did a lot of folks blame the Feds for Waco and Ruby Ridge, when it was all the local sheriff's fault ? BTW, I did the Google search you recommended, and after reading a lot... of nothing, I found no underlying law in any of the sites I opened to support the notion that the Feds can't enforce Federal Law unless they get a local sheriff's permision. |

Another case of the federal government's incompetency. At every turn we see just how miserable the federal government is at doing virtually anything:
BATF....sets up a "sting" to catch the bad guys... But the effort to date has not snared any major dealers or taken down a gang. Instead, it resulted in a string of mistakes and failures, including an ATF military-style machine gun landing on the streets of Milwaukee and the agency having $35,000 in merchandise stolen from its store Three people, however, were charged by mistake (one was in prison on the day he supposedly sold them drugs), rented premises trashed, and a landlord-tenant dispute with their landlord. Oh, and a real "buy-back." Among the guns they bought was one that was stolen from the premises. http://www.jsonline.com/watchdog/watchdogrepo... |

State and local law enforcement agencies are not subordinate to the FBI. The FBI has special investigative jurisdiction to investigate violations of state law in limited circumstances, specifically felony killings of state law enforcement officers (28 U.S.C.§ 540), violent crimes against interstate travelers (28 U.S.C.§ 540A0, and serial killers (28 U.S.C.§540B). A REQUEST by an appropriate STATE official is REQUIRED before the FBI has authority to investigate these matters. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/faqs |

Judged: 1 1 1 It must surely be Bush's fault that the democrats are dysfunctional, unable to assume any responsibility for their actions, or lack thereof. The Bankruptcy of the Obama-Pelosi "Progressives".... No one can accuse the Democrats of being the party of personal responsibility. In the wake of the financial collapse, the Democrats took full control of both the Congress and the Presidency in 2009 and were presented with an historic opportunity to put their ideas into practice. No surprise, the revolution of the takers has instigated a strike among the makers. Rather than be slaves -- yoked under burdensome taxes, regulations and endless hectoring from the Left -- small banks aren’t lending but instead are looking to sell out to the Wall Street barons who financed the President’s rise to power. Small businesses are not expanding, and multinational corporations are taking factories and jobs to China and other Asian venues where genuine enterprise and capitalism, paradoxically, is supported. |

Rampaging monkeys injure 7 people in Indonesia
MAKASSAR, Indonesia -- A mob of wild monkeys has gone on a rampage in a village in eastern Indonesia, entering houses and attacking residents, injuring seven people. One of the victims was listed in critical condition. Ambo Ella, a spokesman for Sidendeng Rappang District in South Sulawesi province, says the surprise attack by about 10 monkeys happened in Toddang Pulu village. He said late Wednesday that a 16-year-old boy was badly bitten in Monday’s attack and is being treated at the hospital. He believes the troop came from a nearby forest protected by a local tribe. It is unclear why the monkeys, which are usually afraid of humans and flee when they hear human voices, emerged and attacked. Local authorities are investigating to find out what prompted the attack, which caused panic among villagers. By The Associated Press. |

Yes, I watched the full video of the hearing on gun violence in Connecticut. What I heard and saw was a grieving Father who had a hard time talking about his son Jesse's death and guns. This Father like most of us are not public speaker's or politician's who know's exactly what rules are used during a "Formal Hearing". I do find it odd that at the 3:50 mark on the video they had a fire reported in the building.......very odd. Then leading up to the 15:31 mark of the video, not understanding the rules of a "Formal Hearing" not a debate, Mr. Heslin did ask questions to anyone in the room about gun's, at that point he recieved more than one reply from others in the room, keep in mind this is a hearing not a debate, "only Mr. Heslin has the floor", no one else. I have heard attorneys(in a court of law, during a trail) ask the jury what would they do........and of course never once did the jury respond. So yes, during this "Formal Hearing", Mr. Heslin had the floor and no one else, so when others jumped in to express their 2nd Amendment rights, YES he was heckled. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Dateline Toddang Pulu village: Investigators have determined that today's attack by a mob of wild monkey's was caused by Hollywood. The attack by the normally docile, and fearful monkeys came only minutes after the end of the movie "Planet of the Apes". The top investigator, Chief Mummbo Jumbo, said, "It appears that the monkeys were emboldened by scenes of monkeys enslaving humans. But when the head monkey was killed at the end of the movie by Charlton Heston, they went ape, and attacked the town. We think that this is an isolated, one time event, but we've cancelled the airing of "Return to the Planet of the Apes". |

The key words in your post are " Violations of STATE law". This is the underlying law for Federal Agents to intercede in matters of STATE law....The contention on this thread was that a Federal Agent must get permission from a County Sheriff before enforcing FEDERAL law.. If that were actually the case, my examples would be the result. OBVIOUSLY, a request for permission for a Federal Agency to become involved in enforcing STATE law would be required....since it is not their job to enforce STATE laws. |

Judged: 1 1 1 NO - he was not. He asked a question and those in the audience remained silent. They were being respectful to him. He then repeated it and emphasized the point - at which time the response was 'shall not be infringed'... How is quoting the Bill of Rights when asked a question not once, but twice...heckling? |

Judged: 1 1 1 In reality, it is a mute point - The FBI and other agents also rarely "take over cases"- if a case needs FBI involvement it usually forms a joint task force with the relevant state or local police department. However, the sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer in a county, the position being the oldest in history. Generally, City police departments don't like to admit it, but they actually get their authority from the sheriff of the county, under the Posse Comitatus Act. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I watched the whole thing.... Most people think there is only ONE SINGLE anti-gun bill before Congress including a lot of the Second Amendment SUPPORTERS. Well I learned from watching it that there have been TWO OTHER ANTI-GUN BILLS introduced in Congress already and nothing in the news said anything about them. http://www.c-span.org/Events/Senate-Committee... |
