When you put up the statistics of how many Mass Killings were committed during the Assault Weapons Ban and how many People were killed during the same, VS the amount, of the shorter period of time, of the same that it has been expired...you're right! I won't answer your Hypothetical argument. Get your Facts and post them, then we'll talk!
Also, post the Gun Laws that aren't being inforced concerning Assault and again, we'll talk...and stick to the Issue of Assault Weapons and High-Count Magazines because that is what the ISSUE is and that is what the new Gun Control Proposals are about!
Do alittle homework , if you're going to arguing an Issue , instead of "parroting" the NRA and Fox Fake News! You'd already be one-Step ahead, if you would read the Links that I post...or even read the Headline to them because I posted one , concerning those very Statistics, yesterday!
How in the hell did people ever kill each other before there was even guns around? If you think about it the Lord says Thou shalt not kill so if people aint going to obey God do you think for one minute another man made law will matter to somebody hell bent on killing his neighbor of enemy?

But, I answered you, anyway...and my information is absolutely the way it is, not just the way the rest of you assume it is, but have nothing else to base your erronous information on, other than you assume so many things and you're wrong about most of them, but you try to make People think you know what you're talking about, and you DON'T!
You can't read or comprehend what you read, either...not even my Posts, much less an official Document.
Hey Girl did y'all get it straight about the difference between a Democracy and a Republic?
You say you don't read my stuff so just Google Sheriff has authority over Federal agents.Have you Googled the Republic thing yet cause you said I made it up?

I suggest you look up " Sen. Mae Beavers has filed SB 0250 as a major overhaul to her 2009 Firearms Freedom Act", too.
Genius.
She can "file" anything she wants to...that doesn't mean that it will become Law in that state and if it does, that doesn't mean that the Federal Authorities won't come in and start arresting People for Federal Law Violations. They did it in California over Marijuana Dispensaries and now, Colorado could be facing the same fate, if they open Dispensaries since they voted in making Marijuana legal, just in the last election. The Feds probably won't, but they could...since the Federal Law still makes the sale of Marijuana, illegal...and the Federal Law hasn't changed, YET.

You People are so ignorant! What the he*l happened in Alabama during the Civil Rights Movement...and Mississippi, even though both States by State Laws were Segregated States...what happened???

I'm not going to argue with Life-long U.S. Citizens that should have learned these Fundamentals of the Government Power Rankings, in Elementatry School. If you were that stupid or hopped up, or whatever was wrong with you that you didn't hear or comphrehend what I'm sure was being taught to you, then do and think whatever you want to. But, when they throw your Azz in Prison for violating Federal Laws because you think your pi*sy little States out-rank the Federal Gov't. and all it's Laws, I will be the first One to laugh in your face and tell you that you got just what you deserve...for being stupid, alone!
GAWD, what I wouldn't give to have more than 5 Posters on here that, with a functioning brain and an IQ above Imbecile status!

You should be since I posted the difference straight out of the Dictionary, but I'm surprised that you read it. I'm also sure that you argued about it and the Scholars' definition, claiming you know more than they do! That's why you're posting on Topix and they are making boo-coo bucks at one of the finest Universities in the Nation and working for "Websters-Merriam"!

OK Sassy, you have had your opportunity. You refuse to apologize and admit that at least some of your news sources are not entirely accurate.

Of course when the original video was from NBC I knew it was bogus. They love to edit for the story. Anyone remember the Dateline debacle on the GM pickup trucks in 1993? NBC admitted that they rigged the truck to burst into flames. How about the 911 tapes where they edited out the dispatcher asking Zimmerman the race of the suspicious person he was calling about? They made it seem that Zimmerman offered that info on his own.

They edited part of this fathers statement out where he asked if anyone in the room could offer any reason for having high capacity magazines. then they shortened the pause he left while waiting for a reply. The people there waited patiently for him to finish because they thought is was a rhetorical question until he said that no one could answer, then they spoke up after realizing that he was actually asking for their input.

Sassy, every time you ignore when someone else posts proof that you have posted a false story, you show further just how unreliable anything you present here is.

But you just keep spamming this and other threads to make yourself feel smart. We know the truth and have long since considered the source.

Fox (Faux) News seems to be absent when it comes to selective editing of "news"....but..but.. .but... Faux News has an agenda! I know it! Liberals on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC all say so!

On Tuesday, a number of media outlets, including MSNBC, Slate, the Huffington Post and Gawker, falsely claimed that the father of a slain Newtown victim was heckled as he spoke at a hearing on gun violence in Connecticut.

Hey Girl it's me "Little Dick".
The County Sheriff has authority in his jurisdiction over Federal Agents.
By that measure, an unscrupulous person could get elected County Sheriff, and protect people who break Federal Law in his/her jurisdiction by refusing access to them by Federal Agents..... yeah right...
Just think, a group of little kingdoms. Want to make moonshine and not run afoul of the feds....move to Sodden County Tn.
Don't like the Federal Income Tax, move to Have More Money County North Dakota....
Want to open a gun store without a FFL ? Move to Cheap Guns County Arkansas !
It is standard practice for Federal Agents to notify local law enforcement that they are operating in the County, but that notification is not to get permission, simply to avoid confusion.

If y'all were right, why did a lot of folks blame the Feds for Waco and Ruby Ridge, when it was all the local sheriff's fault ?

BTW, I did the Google search you recommended, and after reading a lot... of nothing, I found no underlying law in any of the sites I opened to support the notion that the Feds can't enforce Federal Law unless they get a local sheriff's permision.

Another case of the federal government's incompetency. At every turn we see just how miserable the federal government is at doing virtually anything:

BATF....sets up a "sting" to catch the bad guys... But the effort to date has not snared any major dealers or taken down a gang. Instead, it resulted in a string of mistakes and failures, including an ATF military-style machine gun landing on the streets of Milwaukee and the agency having $35,000 in merchandise stolen from its store

Three people, however, were charged by mistake (one was in prison on the day he supposedly sold them drugs), rented premises trashed, and a landlord-tenant dispute with their landlord. Oh, and a real "buy-back." Among the guns they bought was one that was stolen from the premises.

State and local law enforcement agencies are not subordinate to the FBI.

The FBI has special investigative jurisdiction to investigate violations of state law in limited circumstances, specifically felony killings of state law enforcement officers (28 U.S.C. 540), violent crimes against interstate travelers (28 U.S.C. 540A0, and serial killers (28 U.S.C.540B).

A REQUEST by an appropriate STATE official is REQUIRED before the FBI has authority to investigate these matters.
