A Tennessee State trooper pulled a car over on I-24 about 2 miles east of the Alabama/Tennessee State line. When the trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver said “He was a Magician and Juggler and was on his way to Chattanooga to do a show at the Shrine Circus & he didn't want to be late”.

The trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling acts and told the driver if he would do a little juggling for him he wouldn't give him a ticket.

He told the trooper he had sent his equipment on ahead and didn't have anything to juggle. The trooper said he had some flares in the trunk of his patrol car and asked if he could juggle them. The juggler said he could, so the trooper got out 5 flares, lit them and handed them to him.

While the man was juggling, a car pulled in behind the patrol car. A drunken good ol' boy from Alabama got out, watched the performance, then went over to the patrol car, opened the rear door and got in. The trooper observed him and went over to the patrol car, opened the door & asked the drunk what he thought he was doing.........The drunk replied,“You might as well take my butt to jail,..... cause there ain't no way in hell I can pass that test.”

Growth rate affected by reductions in government spending...yet the conservatives are still twisting it into an excuse to scold the president. Go figure.

WOW!!!
All of Obama's spending, all the bloviating with Keynesian economics and we get this:
The nation's gross domestic product shrank for the first time in three and a half years during the fourth quarter, declining at an annual rate of 0.1% between October and December, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.
What?!?!? That $787 BILLION we don't have spent to spur economic growth didn't work?
Well, we'll just have to spend MORE money we don't have...it works so well!
Noooooo Nuh-------you know we got to use up all that money paper. We are going to have to print more money.... that is if you r in LALA land.

Tea Party radicals tend to call themselves "Independents" rather than Republicans simply because they feel that old school Republicans (like Reagan) aren't far enough to the right of sanity.
While I say I am a conservative, I am actually a moderate conservative. Reagan took us as far right as Obama is taking us Left. In fact, Obama might just beat Reagan on that. Yes we need to get rid of the old party of Repubs. That is why you hate the teapubs opinion, much like we on the conservative side don't like the dem/libs opinion.

Any more questions???????

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. "Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-40, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 10 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife
ran off with a State trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper.

The Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis said the decrease in the last three months of last year reflected a fall in federal government spending, private inventory investment, exports and state and local government spending.
"If you look at that headline number, you say, Oh, contraction: Boy, we're on the cusp of recession, but that's really a misleading story and as you look at the underlying details, it's still very much consistent with an economy that continues to regain its footing," said Carl Riccadonna, senior U.S. economist at Deutsche Bank.
Riccadonna says the decline could be largely attributed to one-time factors.
"Inventories alone subtracted about 1.3 percent off the growth rate, then also, there was a sharp slowdown in government spending on defense, and that subtracted another 1.3 percent," she said.

Then perhaps your party should formally distance themselves from Reagan instead of exalting him to deity status. He would never survive a modern day GOP primary...even though he is their supposed hero and standard for comparison.

Yet you always vote for the Republican candidate. You may deny it, but you are a Republican.

If I voted for only Democrats, yet claimed I was an "Independent," or simply, "liberal," wouldn't you still consider me a Democrat?

No really, I voted for Kennedy and Clinton the second time only. WHY? because he switched directions and became a moderate which is where the country should be. When one group or the other move the ball too far to the right (reagan) or too far to the left (obama), it hurts the entire country as a whole. I know you want to see Gay marriage, etc. It is fine with me. They have to answer to GOD not me. But if one of the sob puts his hand on me, I'll break it off. Understand. NOOOOOOO NO NOOO we don't want to get into this! I can almost bet you never voted for a repub. because you are too far liberal.
