I'll be glad when this Man's gone. I've never trusted him. He was hand-picked by Henry (Hank) Paulson, under Bush...'nuff said right there. I just hope the next one is more trustworthy.

While Bush was being bashed about New Orleans, the Democrap mayor was lining his pockets while his citizens died.
NEW ORLEANS — Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was indicted Friday on charges that he used his office for personal gain, accepting payoffs, free trips and gratuities from contractors while the city was struggling to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
The charges against Nagin are the outgrowth of a City Hall corruption investigation that already has resulted in guilty pleas by two former city officials and two businessmen and a prison sentence for a former city vendor
I believe The Fed's have a very strong case against the former Mayor, and I really hope they come down on him hard.
But poor old G.W., now that is another sad story!

Typical liberal mentality do as i say not as i do. Here's a post from the web concerning the NRA prez reciving death threats.
Hundreds” of death threats have been made against the president of the National Rifle Association just since the first of this year. And those threats reflect President Obama’s political tactics. That’s what NRA President David Keene told talk show host Ernest Istook on Thursday.
Keene says those threats reflect attempts by the Left and by President Obama “to demonize and blame those who disagree with him for everything he doesn’t like.”
Keene also is literally targeted by a video game that invites people to shoot him, which he calls the “Kill David Keene” game. The good news, according to Keene, is that those who play the game are unlikely to be gun owners.“So I’m probably safe,” he says.
Meantime, much of America’s media show little concern for Keene’s safety. Instead, they attack the NRA for its video ad that asserts other schoolchildren deserve the same safety as President Obama’s daughters enjoy at school.
Keene told Istook,“The national media is basically at this point a cheering section for the President, particularly on guns because the elite media has always been a part of the effort to gut the Second Amendment.“
The interview aired on “Istook Live!” Excerpts are available online at www.istook.com .
Prosecutions for using guns to commit crimes are down 35% under Obama, Keene says:“They don’t prosecute criminals for using guns. They don’t blame the criminal; they blame the gun.”
About Obama, the NRA leader said,“He positioned himself as the only reasonable man in America. His solution, to whatever the problem is, is the common sense solution. And everyone would follow that but for some evil special interest.”
What about the effort to renew an assault weapons ban?“We passed an assault weapons ban in 1994 under Bill Clinton. It included a ban on high-capacity magazines. It was ineffective for ten years. It was allowed to lapse by the Congress in large part because various studies, including the FBI, showed that it had no impact on violent crime at all. And in fact during the assault weapons ban the average number of people killed by long-arms was 600 and some, after it was 200 hundred and some.”Regarding Obama’s injecting Ronald Reagan’s name as a supporter of the earlier effort, Keene says,“It was under very different circumstances.”
Keene and Istook also focused on a usually-overlooked aspect of limiting the size of ammo clips:
Istook: The shooters in Aurora, Colorado, and in Sandy Hook--they planned things in advance so they brought with them multiple magazines. Whether you’re talking about one [clip] that holds 30 bullets, or carrying 3 [clips] Funny the dumbasses don't know who they are messing with.Im sure he has more guns then most do
It is a shame that some Americans on both sides of the issue think everything is solved at the point of a gun.
I guess he will have to practice what he preaches and hire some armed security.....or he could do what some tea partiers are suggesting and since there are no teachers at his home, he can allow the maid and the cook to bring their guns to work and protect him on the cheap.

No sooner had President Barack Obama laid out his gun control proposals Wednesday, than some states responded, saying they would move to block the laws' enforcement. Some state legislators were even working feverishly to block the measures before the president proposed them. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/state-law...
If a gun control law is passed in congress, states can pass all the symbolic measures they want to, but those measures NEVER end well. Each and every time states have moved to nullify Federal Law, they have lost the fight and it has cost them dearly.
I wonder what is taught in the Public Schools regarding the Civil War, Brown vs Board, The Voting Rights Act, Segregation etc ?? Do these people who were elected to state office never study history ??? Are they this foolish ?

Well, at least this time you only mentioned one of your buzz words - "Teapublicans." For once, you left out Fox News. For the record, I don't bitch about everything, just you. Also for the record, there are adults posting on here but all the adults have to weed through all your gibberish to get to the meaningful posts. Nobody really cares nor reads the links to all your favorite blogs and editorial websites. And quit complaining about long posts when you post 100's of times a week and whole page posts stating the same thing over and over. I realize it is easy to cut and paste the word "Teapublican" and "Fox News", but do you seriously think anyone pays attention to this dribble? Why don't you go talk to people face to face for a change. Might do you some good.

These same State Legislators will spend tax money on a issue that they will lose. But it will make them look good to their base, this same base is in need of jobs, education, quality of life ect.

Just before the end of the year, Politifact chose it’s “LIE OF THE YEAAAAARRRRRR”.

Lie of the Year: the Romney campaign's ad on Jeeps made in China

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/artic...

“It was a lie told in the critical state of Ohio in the final days of a close campaign -- that Jeep was moving its U.S. production to China.

Even though Jeep's parent company gave a quick and clear denial, Mitt Romney repeated it and his campaign turned it into a TV ad.

And they stood by the claim, even as the media and the public expressed collective outrage against something so obviously false.”

PolitiFact has selected Romney's claim that Barack Obama "sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China" at the cost of American jobs as the 2012 Lie of the Year.”

This week:

Fiat sees at least 100,000 Jeeps made in China in 2014

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/01/17/uk-f...

The REAL lie of the year: Barack Obama: Jobs is job one.

Well maybe he didn't lie. He just forgot to mention that they’d be in China.

As a former member of the NRA, I must still be on their call list since I got two telephone calls from the organization, one last night and one this morning. The first was a pitch for a donation to block the overreach of the Obama Adm. for the use of executive orders to take away my second amendment rights. The second was to remind me of "gun appreciation day" ! WOW !! I'm impressed. Gun appreciation day ! We certainly needed one of those since my guns have NEVER before expressed their appreciation to me for buying them, taking care of them and owning them !
I got out my checkbook.....but ....then I thought if my guns were going to show their appreciation, I should just let them make a contribution instead ! Chuckles !!

Sad when an organization that once stood for hunters and sportsmen has become a tool for the lunatic fringe of the far right.

Yes "Dunlapian" that is sadly true. I constantly ask myself HOW these folks get elected....then I remember my old acquaintance Ron Ramsey and his metoric rise to power in Nashville. In my opinion there is no politician in our state government less qualified in experience, temperment, or background to be a representative for an East Tennessee constituiency, but we have him.....anyway.

Having arrived at the Gates of Heaven,
Barrack Obama meets a man with a beard.

'Are you Mohammed?' he asks.
'No my son, I am St. Peter; Mohammed is
higher up.'

Peter then points to a ladder that rises into the
clouds.

Delighted that Mohammed should be higher than St. Peter, Obama climbs the ladder in great strides,
climbs up through the clouds and comes into a room
where he meets another bearded man.

He asks again,'Are you Mohammed?'
'Why no,' he answers,'I am Moses; Mohammed is higher still.'

Exhausted, but with a heart full of joy he climbs the ladder yet again. He discovers a larger room where he meets an angelic looking man with a beard.

Full of hope, he asks again,'Are you Mohammed?'

'No, I am Jesus, the Christ; you will find Mohammed higher up.'

Mohammed higher than Jesus! Man, oh man! Obama can hardly contain his delight and climbs and climbs ever higher.

Once again, he reaches an even larger room where he meets this truly magnificent looking man with a silver white beard and once again repeats his question:

'Are you Mohammed?' he gasps as he is by now,
totally out of breath from all his climbing.

'No, my son, I am Almighty God, the Alpha and the Omega, but you look exhausted. Would you like a cup of coffee?'

Obama says,'Yes please!'

As God looks behind him, he claps his hands and yells out:'Hey, Mohammed, two coffees!'
