Your right to bare arms is guaranteed also.
So was your right to a trial.
The sheriff took an oath to uphold the constitution not laws made up that go against it.
He is not the only one who is saying this.

It obvious you never studied economics. When you run out of money do you quit buying until you get paid or do you just spend more because that will help you in the long run. Oh, you put it on a credit card so now your in debt. When you max out the card, you go bankrupt. What happens when you go bankrupt? Everybody loses if the country goes bankrupt and it is going in that direction.
The same ole tired BS argument over and over , even though it's been debunked in so many ways, I can't even count them all.

Look, let me clue you in on something...when you start seeing our National Monuments, our National Parks, our National Shrines, etc. start getting "run down" from lack of care and upkeep, or being sold off (and they are worth a huge fortune)...THEN, you can figure we're out of money. Until then, don't fool yourself, we're NOT out of money...I don't care what FFN, RL, AJ, and the Far-Right Conservative Propaganda Sites are telling you!
They are waging a gigantic "Fear" campaign to get what they want and you are falling for it!
If we were out of money, why would they be fighting so hard to keep the Super Wealthy from paying their Fair Share of Taxes to help replenish the Nation's Treasury? Either they are lying or they are all Traitors to this Nation and should be tried as such! Now, which do you think it is?

I am against Gun Control, but I see no need to have Assault Weapons in the private sector or 30-round clips. As somebody said , those have no use other than to kill People. I don't see banning those as Gun Control...I see it as Common Sense!

A ban on them was allowed to expire not too long ago, did you notice any difference when the Ban was in force, other than it seemed that we had fewer Mass Killings?

Isn't that the goal, to have fewer Mass Killings...and isn't that a small sacrifice to make if it stops even one Mass Killing?

You Wannabe Rambo-types can get your kicks with some other method of "pretend" killing to make you feel Macho!

Yep! Just proves how many Paranoid Freaks there are in this Country that MIGHT, I say MIGHT be capable of doing the same thing!

I'd also say that it makes a good case about why we might have a real need to ban Assault Weapons and huge Ammo Clips! What are the odds that all of these People are mentally stable and rational thinkers...not very good, would be my guess!

His responsibility is to protect the People in this Country and if you don't think that he and his family need to have alot of protection....and I'm not sure that he and his family have anymore than any other President has had, then, you just haven't paid attention to all the Death Threats that have been made and some ever tried, while he was campaigning the first time! Some of the Threats have been made right here on Topix, against him and his Family.
If you begrudge that, you must be saying that you wouldn't care enough about your Family to protect them, either. You're just a real Champ, aren't you? <s>

Folks, you need to read this Article. There are some payments mentioned in it , that the Gov't. makes each month, that I hadn't even thought of.
You want to know what your Tax Dollars go for, well here is a partial list...very partial, but surprising nevertheless.

In 1984 my wife were one of about 15 teams on a dedicated run that went from Port Huron, Mi. to Laredo Tx and back. I believe you said you worked for Chrysler. Then you should know about this. Our job was to pick up a load of engine blocks and heads fresh from the foundry. We transported these raw parts to Laredo where they were loaded on Mexican trucks and shipped to a town south of Mexico City(the name of the town escapes me) where the milling work was done on these heads and blocks. They were then brought back to Laredo and reloaded on to our trucks and we too them back to Port Huron. After arrival there these same parts were then reloaded onto Canadian trailers and transported to another small town in northern Ontario and there these engines were assembled then brought back to Port Huron where they were shipped to American plants to be installed in cars. This was cheaper than paying American Machinists and assemblers union wages to build these engines. This run went away when Chrysler started having the blocks forged in yet another country losing more American jobs. Now tell me how good the unions are for America. Union workers only care about how much they can get for themselves no matter what affect it will have on the overall economy. Union officials are do not care about the workers. They only want more members so they can get more dues to pay their 6 and 7 or more figure salaries. And if they cant get the money any other way they rob the pension fund.
Ya know "NTMD8OR", the more I read your post, the more I understand your position as a Republican that is so anti-union.
First you know for a fact, I never ever said that I worked for Chrsyler......this was said just to get your point out. Your point being; in this case was you were probably one of the first Republican/anti-union to outsource American jobs to Mexico, and you had no problem stuffing that cash in your pocket. You had no problem sleeping either.
Later this crude type of outsourcing, was later refined by a guy with the name of Willard Romney.

Here is what austerity advocates believe:
Problem: A world economy in deep recession.
Cause: A monetary crisis and a near collapse of the U.S. Banking system as a result of a housing bubble disaster.
Result: loss of demand for goods and services, the collapse of the value of real estate, high unemployment, falling consumer spending.
Solution: Take a trillion dollars a year out of the economy to balance the Federal Budget.
Ludicrious. The way to get out of a recession is to increase the monetary supply, not further constrain it.
We have a front row seat on austerity, as European countries spiral downward under a misguided effort to balance their budgets in a severe recession. It will take decades to undo what the E.U. has foisted on countries like Greece, Spain and Italy.
The time to address debt and deficits is when the business cycle is expanding, unemployment is low, wages are increasing, and consequently tax revenues are growing. That economy can stand cuts in government spending.
Unfortunately, when a robust economy returns if it ever does.....Republicans will want another tax cut instead of a balanced budget and paying off of the debt.
Spending (wasting) money that doesn't exist - other than when printed by the Fed out of thin air - is the CAUSE of debt! The 'front row' we are sitting in is one where we watch the abject failure of the Socialist-Democracy governmental model.

Big, bloated federal governments with Keynesian aspirations ALL are debt-ridden.

Again, the problem is debt -$17 trillion for us.
Cause - spending too much money
Keynesian response: spend more money

Quit trying to say that federal spending more is the answer. It simply does not work...Japan from the 1990's to now is an example; Europe presently is an example; and closer to home: Obama's $787 Billion "Spendulous"..er 'stimulus'- WHAT did it get us? Where are the jobs? Where is economic growth?

Here are the words of someone you may know concerning debt:

"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents –#43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back —$30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic."

-Barack Hussein Obama, April - 2008

He lambasts Bush, et.al. for $4 trillion in debt added in 8 years - and he has added $8 trillion in 4...and plans ever and ever higher increases in spending - adding even more debt.

Interesting what the left will support. Would you be so enthusiastic about unilateral action and the Executive branch 'creating law' with no regard for the rest of the government if GWB were still in office?
