But this American Navy Seal did exist, he did have a life, maybe a husband, son, Father, until he was killed trying to save some Americans that had no business in a war zone.
I believe Morning Star would do a better job here in East Tennessee, helping Americans that can't get health care, or even shoes on their feet.

Who are you to decide whether or not someone has business in a war zone?

Part of becoming a Seal is knowing that you may have to sacrifice your life.

I find it interesting that you feel such compassion for this Seal, but absolutely nothing for the four that were needlessly killed in Benghazi. At least the parents of this Seal know what happened. The parents of the Benghazi dead, still don't know, and they are being stonewalled by a president who doesn't want to admit he screwed up.

In a trial, small town prosecuting attorney called his first witness,an elderly women to the stand. As he approached her,he asked"Mrs.Jones,do you know me?"
"Yes,Mr.Williams,I know you."she replied."I've known you since you were a boy,and frankly you are a big disapointment to me.You lie ,you manipulate people and you talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot ,but you haven't the brains to realize you will never amount to anything but a two-bit paper pusher."
The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do he pointed across the room and asked"Mrs.Jones,do you know the defense attorney"?
"Yes I do" she replied,I've know Mr Bradley since he was a youngster also.He is lazy and bigoted. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in the state".
The judge asked both attorneys to approach the bench. In a very quiet voice,he said"if either of you idiots askher if she knows me .I'll send you both to the electric chair".

Stormy,
Some of us try to manage our stress without drugs, so quit adding to it by using those DAMNED CAPITALS, ok?
Just logging onto Topix every couple or three days takes enough courage, so go easy, ok?
About Dems and silence on legalizing weed, same sex marriage, etc., I believe the time has come to admit that (1) too much time and effort have gone into fighting marihuana and (2) too much hate and worry have gone into fighting something that should be very personal, i.e., choosing a mate.
Maybe if gays have rights like everyone else, they will stop those tacky parades and making *sses out of themselves.

Venting on a public forum does not gain her any progress.Like Kenny Roger's song,You got to know when to walk away and when to run. When you remove yourself, all of a sudden, the problems are not there anymore.
The more she stirs it the worse she will make it.write a journal, tell her story and move on with her life. Can't take on the whole city government. It can get a lot worse.Nothing TOPIX can help her solve.Putting her business out on the street is not in her favor. It can destroy her mind dweling on it all.Needs to put it away.Turn it over to GOD to solve. She's helpless.

FEMA is hiring! Who said there were no jobs.‘Course they are Federal gumint jobs, so there’s some catches.

A. They’re temporary. Don’t plan on no careers here.
B. Unlike voters, you need ID.
C. There’s no union protection, so don’t be expectin’ no double time pay or anything like that. You might even have to work 12 hour days! Horrors! And do it 7 days a week! Aghhhhhh……
D. Most require a bachelor’s degree – which explains why Obama keeps pushing education. Why you need one of these to dig people out of rubble we don’t know, but we’re not gonna hire no dummies. Tough sh_t for you high school dropouts.
E. You’ll need to pass security, so all those bush bashing Facebook posts might come back to haunt you.

Hey. Looky here. We got a position open that Obama might qualify for:

A) I guess it never occured to you that most jobs created as a result of a disaster/emergency are "temporary" right ?
B) You and I do not have a constitutionally GUARANTEED right to a government job...but we do have one to vote.
C) The Federal Govt. WILL pay overtime to those that work over 40 hours a week.
D) Key word "Most".
E) I suspect there will be a LOT more radicals disqualified for Obama bashing on the internet than there will be for Bush bashing, remember any of the Bush bashers signing petitions demanding the dissolution of the Union ? Me neither ! Chuckles !!

Like price gouging and other unsavory practices in the wake of a disaster, it seems that rumors are floating around the social media sites about free cash, food stamps, lucrative pay for volunteers and tent cities, all being given out by FEMA.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is making an effort to put a stop to the rumors. Those wishing to view the article may go to the official FEMA web site. The following is an on-going list of the rumors and their status, according to FEMA.

Cash Cards

It is being said that FEMA is handing out cash cards to people affected by the storm. This is FALSE.(11-5)
Those people affected by the storm and in need of assistance should register on line at www.disasterassistance.gov , or call 1-800-621-FEMA.

Food Stamps

Likewise, it is being said that FEMA is issuing food stamps to people in New York and New Jersey affected by the storm. This is FALSE.(11-3)
Again, please register on line at www.disasterassistance.gov , or call 1-800-621-FEMA.

Hiring by FEMA

It is rumored that FEMA is paying up to $1,000 for people to go to New York and New Jersey to clean up debris after the storm. This is FALSE (11-5)
FEMA is hiring cleanup crews to assist in the cleanup in New York and New Jersey.(11-2) This is FALSE.(11-2)
For information on how to volunteer or assist those in need, www.serve.gov/sandy .

Shelter/Tent Cities

It was inaccurately reported by a radio station that FEMA had set up a tent city at the Monmouth Race Track in New Jersey for people displaced by the storm. This is also FALSE.(11-5)
The tents at Monmouth Race Track were set up for first responders, utility and construction workers as a place to rest up and get food and water.
For those in need of shelter, go to www.redcross.og r/find-help/shelter.

Water

It has been reported on the social media sites that FEMA is out of bottled water. This is entirely FALSE.(11-3)
It has also been rumored that the Old Bridge Township water system in Old Bridge New Jersey has failed. This too is FALSE.(11-3)
FEMA is providing water to their state partners for distribution. For New York locations and times of food and water distribution centers and daytime warming centers, go on line to www.nyc.gov .
It has been reported that the water system in Old Bridge, New Jersey is safe and there are no restrictions on it's use.

LOL - 63 dollars huh? The insurance companies gouge us out of more than that about every visit we make for fine print that they won't pay for, so that is a small price to pay compared to the rate (if they can get insurance at all) people with pre-existing conditions pay.
"Based on figures provided in the regulation, employer and individual health plans covering an estimated 190 million Americans could owe the per-person fee."
1) That's "per-person", so if you have a plan that covers you, your spouse and two children, then that's 4 x $63 for a $252 increase in your premium for the first year.
Now of course we believe the Govt when they say the fee will decrease and go away over the course of 4 yrs, don't we?
2) "...190 million Americans could owe..."
The population of the US is over 310mil, what of the other 120mil?
The other 120 million are bums that are soaking the hell out of the rest of us.

Haslam gets one right...

“Tennessee faces a decision this week about health insurance exchanges created by the Affordable Care Act.

“I’m not a fan of the law. The more I know, the more harmful I think it will be for small businesses and costly for state governments and the federal government. It does nothing to address the cost of health care in our country. It only expands a broken system. That’s why I’ve opposed it from the beginning and had hoped we would be successful in court and at the ballot box this year.

“Now we’re faced with the fact that the law remains, and it requires every state to participate in an insurance exchange. Our decision is whether the state or federal government should run it, and the deadline for that decision is Friday.

“I’ve said that I think Tennessee could run a state exchange cheaper and better, and my natural inclination is to keep the federal government out of our business as much as possible. What our administration has been working to understand is whether we’d have the flexibility for it to be a true state-based exchange, how the data exchange would work, and if it would work.

“Since the presidential election, we’ve received 800-plus pages of draft rules from the federal government, some of which actually limit state decisions about running an exchange more than we expected.

“The Obama administration has set an aggressive timeline to implement exchanges, while there is still a lot of uncertainty about how the process will actually work. What has concerned me more and more is that they seem to be making this up as they go.

“In weighing all of the information we currently have, I informed the federal government today that Tennessee will not run a state-based exchange. If conditions warrant in the future and it makes sense at a later date for Tennessee to run the exchange, we would consider that as an option at the appropriate time.

“This decision comes after months of consideration and analysis. It is a business decision based on what is best for Tennesseans with the information we have now that we’ve pressed hard to receive from Washington. If this were a political decision, it would’ve been easy, and I would’ve made it a long time ago.

“I believe my job is to get to the right answer. That’s what Tennesseans expect of me and elected me to do.”

Double-time Pay is a Union Perk, as far as I know, but Federal Labor Laws mandate that you have to be paid Time and a Half for everything over 40 hours a week or 80 hours every two weeks, depending on which Plan your Employment falls under, IF you are an Hourly Wage Worker.
If you are a Worker being paid a Salary, your Employer can work you as many hours as he wants for the same pay and does not have to pay you Overtime Pay of any kind.

You’re joking, right? It’s either that or you’re delusional. There’s never been a president bashed more than Bush.

Obama could get on national TV, walk up to a white guy, shoot him in the head, and you people would not only absolve Obama, but you’d find a way to blame it on the white guy.

Saving Sargent Niland is COMPLETELY different than the fictional movie "Saving Private Ryan". Being in a war zone myself, it all comes down to, "it's us against them". True I have no input as to who is in a war zone. So again if someone is in a war zone and it's not "us" then it's them(the enemy) and the enemy is the one that would love to kill you. This group of Americans that you speak of, on their web site talks about doing work in war torn areas, that's great.....but they should be doing it AFTER the war, not during it. Better yet they should be doing it in this poor Sequatchie County Tn.
Part of joining any branch in the military you take the risk of giving your life for America, not just the Seals.
Don't post something that I never posted......I never ever posted that I did not have compassion for the four Americans that were killed in Benghazi.
You are watching way to much Fox News, the President is not stonewalling anything, he is not in charge of the investigation.
