What happen to Babysitters?

What happen to babysitters? When I was growing up there was never a shortage of teenage babysitters trying to earn a few bucks. Seems like today its almost impossible to find them. The ones you do find are adults that want to charge you more then most ppl in the working world make an hour!.

The couple "Sitters" I have met with wanted $13 to $15 an hour or more to watch your 5 yr old at your house. With them eating your food,surfing on your computer, talking on your phone. Hell all they have to do is sit there and make sure your child is fed and doesn't hurt himself for the most part. Yet they still wanna charge you out the ass.
Seems teens dont need the money anymore cause their parents give them everything they want. Hell me and my wife havent been out since we moved to Greeneville 2 yrs AGO without our son. It would be nice to get out and do Adult stuff but we cant seem to find someone to babysit without charging $80.00 a night.

have you ever thought about advertising on the tusculum college campus? There are some great students who need a little extra cash and wouldn't charge nowhere near that much for a few hours.
