How so? Obviously, this thread was created by a fellow "church-goer"... Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't gossip and rumors make these people HYPOCRITES for putting someone else's business out here for all to see? Wouldn't the disrespectful nature of plastering ones personal life on a public forum make them just as sinful as those who are divorcing? Divorce happens all day every day. Maybe instead of making them feel like any less of a human being for not being able to be in a marriage any longer, they could help them walk closer to God and seek forgiveness. Maybe, just because they attend church... Doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to "sin". Church is for sinners, not saints.
There is NO RESPECT in putting ones business on here. If that makes me "fos"... Then yeah, okay. But you'll never convince me that the original poster has one ounce of respect... And deserves even less in return, "Tom".

If the world wants less divorce, make marriage licenses cost what an average divorce costs now. I think it's a safe bet to say that a cost of anywhere upwards of 1,500-2,500 for a marriage license... Some might think twice about marriage.

My "fos" opinion only.

Sometimes one takes it very serious, sometimes the other thinks it's a d@mn game.

There is no fixing the problem. People are idiots.

One problem with raising the cost of marriage license so is that people would just stop getting married and be even more co-habitation. Then you would only have the wealthier end married and yet another label. People would start saying "only rich people can get married"

There are plenty of younger kids that would be determined to get married still... They can just add that into the wedding cost... I could care less, but people seem to be more judgmental if you divorce than if you do just "shack up"... There are very little morals left about people anymore... I myself have seen more than my share of divorce... But when your spouse tries to kill you, tells you they don't love you and never did and doesn't even believe in the God in which you first built your marriage upon, or drugs and needles become more important... You must realize one thing... Marriage isn't for everyone, no matter how much one gives. If I had to pay more, I still would've gotten married... But probably would have waited a long while and saved myself a lot of heartache.

Maybe the cost isn't the answer, but counseling and classes and I'm sure a few other morally helpful things could help a couple decide more honestly if this is what they want... Instead of ridicule when it doesn't work.. All the ones judging like they deserve that right should be finding a better avenue for couples to seek help through.

Aren't you the one who is shacked up with someone you describe as a "cowboy"? Who are you to judge other relationships?

I think if you will read my posts, you will see that I'm not judging anyone. I do "shack up". I am just fine with that. Is it a sin? Yes. Is that between me and God? Yes. Will I ever get married again? No, I don't see it happening. How long will I "shack up" with MY COWBOY for? Forever. He and I are happy with our life and how things are for us... So there is no need to have a piece of paper tell us what we already know.

All I'm saying is that the person who started this forum are making it out like these people are horrible people simply because they are getting a
divorce... I'm surprised that you seem to dislike me so much, yet do not have the "balls" to come at me.

I'm not a judgmental person... But it seems like you track me down just to stir sh!t... You obviously think you know me... Bring it to me. Otherwise- move along, "Kathy".

Oh look... Now Kathy is a man.? I'm not "judging" anyone. I simply made a statement. You take it as you want... I am by no means perfect, but I do believe I have the right to defend my own.

That was attempted... Then I was called many more names.. Lol some people just cannot be nice... But that's okay too. I don't hold grudges. Life is far too precious to let bad feelings consume me.:) I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day!
