lets hope if one is in church and says they live a godly life adultery wouldn't be in ones life !. People sin daily but knowingly doing it is wrong and destroys many lives..

Ikr. Divorce is not ideal. NO ONE gets married with the intentions of divorce. There are far more scandalous dealings going on in that church than a young couple who have realized they made a mistake. I just hope they can dissolve of their marriage before they cause irrevocable harm and/or damage to one another. This bs of outing them is senseless and obviously immaturity has superceeded any ounce of good intentions this op ever had. I have been married and divorced 3 times. If I don't tell you, you'll never know. I live in sin with my boyfriend, people who do not know us personally think we are married. I had a child out of wedlock... The love and care he receives from his father and I is no different Than that of his brother whom we had after marriage. I have tattoos... And lots of them, and without me showing them off or saying so, no one would ever see them... There are so many people who would see me as a sweet young lady, and then ones who have seen both sides of me... Does that make me fake or a bad person, no, it makes me human with a professional life separate from my personal life. I have made a million mistakes... But those are between me and My God... There may be certain lifestyle choices I wouldn't choose, but I'm not going to tell anyone else they shouldn't. They have to answer for their sins. I know right from wrong and I'd say this young couple may have been together longer than they should have due to the scrutiny of the church... Somehow, and I'm not sure how... The churches missed the part of the Bible where it says not to judge, not to throw stones, to love thy neighbor... I stopped going to church. Grew up in church. Love God. But church is for sinners... And there was no room for the truth of the Word of God when all the saints showed up... So I just stay home. Lol
Sorry. Rant over. Lol
marriage is sacred or its suppose to be. Three times is crazy!. You don't marry every person you go out with , you take the time to get to know them.

I did know them. And you are right, I should've never married any of them, But I did. That's the past. And God knows all about it.

Does 'church,' or 'godly,' necessarily have to enter into what is essentially a personal decision? After all, church, marriage, and adultery are essentially human institutions. Definitely not absolutes throughout the world.

It would depend on how big of a hypocrite the human being is.

Pot calling the kettle black with your judgemental comment. Maybe, if ppl lived together first, they would know what and who they will be vowing to! Because ppl sure like to change after marriage.

I still fail to see (1) why this was originally posted anyway and (2) what business is it of the poster who gets divorced or not. We're not talking about cooking meth here or someone driving on their 6th DUI....I smell a busybody. lol

Sad that someone has nothing else better to do than to inform the rest of the world about someone getting a divorce. There is no difference in denomination in this as well. The concept of marriage is based on one thing, Christianity. Our brains change sometimes up to the ages of 25-26. I mean by that, our chemical balances, thought patterns, and overall view of life can change up to and possibly beyond that point.
So for this to happen to a young couple, it makes even more sense. I am sorry to whoever this is and I hope your names are not released. You shouldn't feel ashamed though! We are all people and NO ONE can say it is easy to live with someone else, it just gets easier. Life is a journey, and to live it in torment or unhappiness JUST to keep a smile on everyone elses (community included) face...well that is stupid.
