Broyles got a letter from the state Open Meetings people. The story is in the Sun today. They said that they received 59 complaints about this shady meeting. They also said that a suit can be filed against Broyles and the IDB for violating the Open Meeting Law.<quoted text>
Probably not. He has to win in court to have any standing to file. If a judge finds him guilty, then he won't have a chance at Sueing. Plus, not many attorneys here do this stuff, and it has to be filed in federal court to have a chance. Noone is greeneville is capable of handling this lawsuit because it such a specific niche...if done right. There are 2 attorneys in Johnson city, 1 in Kingsport, and a handful in Knoxville that do civil rights stuff and do it well. A few have attempted here in greeneville and lost their arse. So I hope for mr overholts sake...he has went out of town for representation . When is his court date?
Good on you, 59 people in Greene County!
It is just a damn shame that ONLY 59 people in our county actually give a crap.
