I'll do some reading. Thanks! Yes many of our founding fathers knew this, how have we went backwards? Are you a teacher?
Not a teacher but a scholar who knows when BS is being shoveled out in large quantities. Evolution is proven science, man from monkey is a theory about 80% provable, Creationism is pure fantasy and fiction 0% provable and yet our science and math students are being asked to give equal credence to both, hopeless. We have fallen to 16th in the world in science and math and we want our teaches to teach BS in the schools. It is our history in the US to have strong reactionary religious periods, they usually are fairly short and we wake up and rapidly advance. However, this period is about 30 years old and we are falling way behind other countries in knowledge, we may not recover.

Why didn't we fall to 16th in the world earlier? The U.S. taught creationism back when we were on top. That isn't what made us fall behind. We fell behind because of the attitudes of students, parents, AND teachers.

I have been around a long time and know when someone is lying. The US has only been #1 since WWII. Evolution has been taught in the US since the early 1900s. I went to school in the 50s, 60s and 70s and was never taught creationism except in church. So, what neanderthal school system did you come out of? Our decline in education coincides with the popularity of the concept of the moral majority and neoconservatism.

It is not a mosque that we are looking to build. We simply want to create a community center. We will have a retreat center with a pool, gym, etc. Don't simply hate us because of our religion. We live among you and work as your doctors many times. We want a peaceful place near the mountains for relaxation.
Allah has willed it and so it will be.
Allahu, please report this realtor if he/she is refusing to provide services based on your religion.

And also the rise of teachers' unions, and young people having more interest in being cool than applying themselves toward future employment, and more single family homes, and more drug use, and an inefficient, bloated, top heavy school sysyem, etc. Liberalism is way more to blame than anything else.

Check out the ACT and SAT scores of some of the religious based private schools, where creation is taught, and get back to me.

I agree with most of what you said but in fact liberalism is your only saving grace here as they tend to be far more educated, they tend to be democrats and they tend to have a job.

The top 10 most educated states in the country are all blue states, the 10 most uneducated states are all red except for one. The red states also use the most welfare, food stamps, and "entitlements" in general.

You think humans were made from dirt by magic and they can get pregnant without a sperm fertilizing an egg and talking snakes and that a man can live in a whale's stomach for 3 days! Well maybe a man could but not a woman as we are are the fairer sex and all.

The important thing to remember is that even if you are taught creationism in school you must go against it to perform well on ACTs and SATs. Geography theory fundamentally disagrees with creationism, Geology and the fact we have oil deep in the ground fundamentally disagrees with creationism, Chemistry, Biology, General Science, Physics, Relativity, Genetics, MicroBiology all disagree with creationism. So you force people to take a class that is totally out of sinc with all other classes they must learn to do well on the ACTs and the SATs. Big whoopin poppycock. It is called dumbing down to suit a particular powerful political group.

In which Neanderthal school system were you taught to spell the word sync? I am not arguing for the teaching of creationism. I am not a believer. I am arguing against your stupid statement that the teaching of a single theory that may take up a day or two of class dumbs down the country. There are many factors which have contributed. You are an idealogue who is barking up the wrong tree.

It is not the liberals themselves who are the problem. Their motives are probably born out of genuine caring. It is that their programs take away the people's self reliance. By trying to "help" people , they are hurting them in the long run, by making them dependent on a handout. Haven't you ever seen signs saying "Please do not feed the bears?" They don't want the bears to be waiting for a handout.

Also, I am conservative, and would put my education up against anyone here. What is the racial makeup of the top 10 most educated states? You do realize that certain minorities vote from 70% to over 90% Democratic. There could be more to it than education.

Well I'm sure there are way more white people that voted for the King of outsourcing for the wrong reason. And again the red states are the ones draining the country, they talked about seceding, please do, the blue states can't afford you anymore.

Also the majority of the tea party are on assistance, but they want smaller government. They are also part of that special percent that Romney talked about that doesn't pay income tax.

I am a liberal and proud of it, I want happiness and success for very American and yes I do think there are many folks that need to go out and get a job!

Yes you have NO IDEA what I went through in middle school and high school! It was terrible, I finally started to play a clever mind game where I would never let school and church touch in my mind.(I was terrified of going to hell). At school I would pretend that I believed what they taught me so I could make As and stay in the Beta club and at church I pretended I believed what they taught so I wouldn't go to hell. It was terrible, I had such a complex and a low self esteem. My childhood years could have been totally different.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Libra

Is a relationship getting dull and predictable? If so, it's time to inject some spontaneity into it, preferably by doing things on the spur of the moment and taking a few risks. Maybe you should go out for a meal for a change. There could also be a surprise in store when you realize you're attracted to someone who's totally different from your usual type.
