Garbage is collected on Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.Recycled materials 2 Mondays a month. The city park has to be maintained along with grounds around town hall plus the walking trail and cutting high grass along city streets.

Why don't you men grow a set and get your whiney hides out there and clean it up if it bothers you. Males are so whiney these days it makes me sick.

One of the best and accurate posts I've read so far on this forum.

<quoted text>Yes, you and Mr. Christian are accurately represented by Mr. Christian's post. You don't have the you know what's to do anything but talk on Topix. Still waiting for that rust to disappear.
I didnt perceive either of them to be whining about "nothing being done"... So you would be incorrect in your statement. Mr. Christian's post does not accurately represent them. You may have to wait a while on the rust thing tho... That's an awful large structure and it's going to take years... It is possible that you go to the Tusculum City meetings and make the suggestions that you're concerned about here... That would be a great start for you.

So you're an expert on bridges too? Did they run you out of Georgia?

Not quite. I do know a little about construction and steel tho. ;) and no... I'm actually heading back for a visit soon. People who KNOW me, love me. There's where I KNOW you only THINK you know me.:-)

Some bridges are made from "weathering steel" that is intentionally left unpainted. The surface rust (patina) actually protects the steel from the deep pitted rusting that develops under paint eventually, and eliminates the need for periodic scraping, power washing, sandblasting and repainting. That type of bridge maintenance is expensive, and may interrupt traffic flow also.

I've crossed that bridge many times on my pedal bike. Seen some pretty hot wimmens on that trail too...lol

That said, I think the bridge would look MUCH better painted!

Hey (truth)... The problem with your fly off the handle assumption is that I happen to be a 6 feet 5 inch 215 pound male and do not have a husband. But maybe I could talk my girlfriend in to pitching in. You know it seems just when you get a good thread going on this forum some moron has to say something stupid that does not help in any way or aid in finding intelligent solutions to the problems at hand. Ok, I'm ready for the obligatory opine.
I think this should be directed to Rev Ape Allen!
