Snowden is a traitor, he is not a hero. He should be hunted down and executed on the spot before he can do any more damage. You and all that support him are also traitors. You will be the first to cry that the government didn't do enough to protect us when the next attack happens.
I often wonder how Hitler was able to so quickly gain power and set out to reign over the world, then I look at this guy and realize that many people refuse to see the government as evil. Our government is evil, both parties. We only have a few on either side who speak out for liberty, the Constitution and limited government. Obama and the like tells us to hate those people, this guy follows blindly.

The NSA "spy" program transcends political affiliation so whether you're conservative, liberal, libertarian or whatever, we're all involved. I can understand gathering intelligence on countries or individuals who may cause us harm but John and Jane Citizen who pay their taxes, obey the law and do all the right things that society dictates? If nothing else, Edward Snowden woke people up to the fact that our individual privacy and freedom are in dire jeopardy. I imagine our founding fathers would be mortified at what our country and government have become.
Well put "my fellow troll". ;) Maybe we can meet when the Feds come pull us out of our beds in the middle of the night & haul us away. LOL! Oh wait you are me or I am you or something like that. One would think the nation would be in a greater uproar over the NSA; however, there is the preoccupation with the Kartrashians, hoodies & other such nonsense. It would be interesting to travel into the future 25 years to see how socialistic or communistic we have become. Sad

That was his only option. Every other country where he seeked asylum denied his request, as the US pressured other countries to arrest him if he showed up. Sad that was his only option.

Well he must be getting home sick for the good old USA. He wants to come back and meet with congress if the US will drop the charges against him. Friggin dumbass. I would drop the charges and then send him to Gitmo.

Would you explain "duplicitous" to me because it is not in my dictionary. Hypocrite doesn't define me either because I don't pretend to be something I'm not. But if you look up traitor you will see that snowden fits that word perfectly. You on the other hand probably are a hypocrite. Probably can't wait to get your obamacare, social security, food stamps and what ever else you can get from the government you so hate. The federal governments first and foremost job is the security of this country and the protection of its citizens. And there you have it!

So you are saying that I am deceitful, two-faced and a lair. I would say you are right where it comes to the protection of this country and its citizens. I say do whatever it takes. You don't agree with me and I get that, but I really don't care. Let the next one be on you and your snowden supporters. If the NSA had been targeting Americans they might have prevented the shooting at LAX. "Just Sayin"

that is horsecrap and you know it. they havent prevented anything ever. they will however use what they get to pigeonhole or frame anyone who becomes a nuisance to them or their big money backers. you are nieve to a dangerous degree. people like you empower the abuses we all suffer. your precious government doesnt give a crap about you or anyone other than the elite and themselves. the recent shutdown is eveidence of that as are countless other past events. blinders offer a pretty view of what is directly in front only. you should remove your's.

You know... it is funny that you all consider Snowden a "hero". He isn't shit but a man that got tired of working for the man. How much of this "evidence" that he has leaked did he know before letting the truth about the NSA out? He was just as corrupt and horrible as the rest of them, only he had a change of mind. Who knows what drove him to drop the ball, but I am sure it wasn't in the interest of the American people.

That is assuming that shooting really happened as an act of terrorism. Seems to me they are using these news broadcasts as a way to scare citizens into voting to take everyone's right to bare arms.

But, you do bring up a good point. Why are all of these horrible things happening in America when we have the technology and liberty to spy on other nations and our own? They can stop a terrorist across the ocean but not here?

Are there people who are against this 'crime'? I mean, the whole time I've heard that Edward Snowden did something tremendous. Because of this incident more people are distrusting each other, and maybe this could end with a world war. So until I get a good reason for why he thought that if those reports would be presented in public it wouldn't hurt, I say that it was the wrong thing to do.
