That would explain why the students are dumbed down. A lot of the teachers are dummies.

I know Kirk and she can't handle this job. She caters and will most definitely leave office some day in shame. Everybody blames Roger Jones for everything. Yes he is shameless as well but Kirk is no innocent little woman like she tries to act like she is. There are some families very angry about the situation at CDMS and all she is doing is NOTHING. oNE OF THE Teachers who held up the infamous card of five now cannot stand her and there are others.
Vicki Kirk is more in line with a dictator and we all know what happens with dictators.

It would be mind blowing to follow the blood line of those hired within the school system. If not blood line then the friend-of-a-friend who owes a friend a favor trail. It makes no sense how they get by with this. One of the teachers at West Greene bragged about being guaranteed a teaching job when he was just a Sophomore in college. How do these people live with themselves?

It would be funny to see any one of those disgruntled moms get ahold of Kirk.

I agree that nepotism is a very big component of why schools are failing. I have witnessed the bragging rights of some teachers who got their jobs due to knowing someone as opposed to being the better candidate for the teaching position. This happens in all school systems and change will only come when we get the powers that be involved. It makes it hard on the next teacher when the children have had a previous teacher who struggles with material they can't teach because they haven't mastered the material themselves. What is even sadder is knowing that nothing will be done about it. I have to say though that with all the changes coming, I really don't see how teachers will get away with being incompetent in their mastery of their subject. Thank you.

Just curious as to whether or not the opinionated citizens in this board can name a factual flaw of Dr. Vickie Kirk....

Now, for the facts? Prove that she doesn't. What do you know about running a school system? What do you know about a school budget? State guidelines?

1) Requests more money including tax increase two years in a row

2) Moves capable teachers for no reason other than she can

3) Many educators are quietly wishing Dr. Joe was back

4) Tells mistruths to the public/other government groups

I think it is sad you have people who have been in education for so many years and have scratched and clawed to get your degree and then overlooked for the first young one who comes along. Education use to be a respected field but with no tenure anymore it isn't. Anybody wirh a degree it seems can be promoted wherher you have put in your time or not. I guess centtal office is where those who can't educate or run a school goes to work. Too many names could be nentioned.

I totally agree with you . I personally watched Dr Kirk side with a principle when there was evidence to prove she was wrong . Then stated the problem would be taken care of at school board meeting. And now it's all changed cuz she backs her picks and they can do what they want.

Not disagreeing with you, but teaching is just a job. Same thing has been going on in plants and other work places for years.

Teaching is just a job? Really? Really? Ask any teacher if it is just a job..a good teacher will tell you.it is a calling. To be given someone's kids and have them more than some of their parents. Some kids look to teachers more than parents. Teaching has never been just a job..

I understand what Hmmm is saying. She or he is saying that teaching is like other jobs/careers where you have nepotism.

You see it in private industries, but that is up to the owner to correct if he/she wishes.

Teaching is a public job. The taxpayers are the bosses. Those in charge should not be allowed to do what they do.
