I'm a man in my 40s, and for me, a woman's kisses need to be deep, intense, passionate, and long from the very first date. The same goes for the man. A woman who can kiss passionately from the start shows true feeling. Otherwise, I wouldn't want a second date. Superficial kisses on the lips just don't cut it for me unless they progress to deep and passionate ones. I have found that women
who are liars, golddiggers, takers, crazy, or who have otherwise
bonafide adverse personalities are incapable of deep and intense
kissing. Women with a GOOD heart and character are quite capable.

Guys and gals, please feel free to post your thoughts.

I hate "pop" kisses... My man don't have to run his tongue down my throat but I want a good kiss from him to show me I mean something... Men, take the time to lay one on her... Kiss her good morning and kiss her good night... Never act like you're too busy to kiss her good-bye and in front of your friends.... Emotion and passion is what keeps the fire kindled...

I love kissing and, in fact, sometimes prefer passionate kissing & quality cuddling time just enjoying one another to actually having sex (not always, but sometimes)... anyway, "get it right," I agree that you can tell a great deal about a person & about your chemistry with another person by the way (s)he kisses you.

***I also agree with your comments, Aly & GaPeach :)

I just think pop kisses aren't very affectionate.. Sometimes your lips barely even touch as you throw that pop and turn to walk away... Onto something "more important" about your day... I'm game for "it" anytime so a pop kiss doesn't deter me... But it can sure upset my apple cart to expect him to slow down for the 5 seconds it may take to actually press his lips against mine lovingly and instead, I get a *pop*..."bye, I'm in a hurry, I gotta go"... And we all know what happens when Mama ain't happy....:-/ lol pop kisses aren't for love.... Jmo.

The last time a woman kissed me with slow, deep, and passionate kisses was over 20 years ago. She had a warm heart. In my experience, no woman has matched that level of kissing since then,
or even come close. They simply weren't strong enough. I will know what to look for on my next first date.

That's an awfully long time to have not been smooched appropriately!!!

Wha??? You can't be serious. To guys, a pop kiss means, "Gotta go, I ain't ashamed to show the World I love you!" But I gotta get down to that gun rally! We don't have time for sex, but I love you, baby! I've just shown everybody within sight that I love my Baby, and she's all mine, but I gotta get down to the action. When he leaves your ass in the car is when you got problems.
Shoot, to my guy... It's, "do I gotta?" lol I am pretty laid back and don't force affection but I do like a good smooch. I'm not saying some major lip action... Just kinda like the pop... But softer and about 2 seconds longer... Of course I don't always get what I want... But it makes for a better mood... And sex... There's always time for that...

So far, I haven't read one single post that I disagree with. I too love long, passionate kisses. I've always said there's a nerve that runs directly from one set of lips to the other. Sex without kissing is mechanical and unfulfilling. I want my whole body involved, all at the same time...lips, hands, hips, boobs....full body contact.

Excuse me for a few minutes......

Ah, anybody got a cigarette?

Yes, but it's the truth. That is how I know, in retrospect, that
all of these other women were way off the mark. It's easy to bullshit superficial and pop kisses. You would have a considerably
more difficult time faking slow, deep, and passionate ones.

A number of years ago I went on a few dates with a young woman (28 at the time) who resembled the late Natalie Wood. I really liked
her to put it mildly, however, her kisses were never intense.

So, I assume that you've never been married??? And, were other things "off the mark" about these previous ladies, or just the kissing??? I ask b/c, though physical intimacy is extremely important & I couldn't be in a relationship without it, I also find character, integrity, sense of humor, loyalty, good communication skills, etc. to be an absolute necessity.

Your right. Something about full soft lips, the sweetness of her taste, the elation you get from her. If she's the right one,her kiss is as good as sex. That's a hard feeling to come by my friend, especially if the feeling is mutal btw the two. Then there's the wondering if you'll ever find her. Or have that feeling again..........

I am opposed to "pop" kisses because they are simply too weak.
Even if you are pressed for time, there is always an opportunity for a 60 second slow and passionate one. However, the woman needs to reciprocate and match the man's intensity when he turns it on.
I prefer at least 15-20 minutes per day of slow and passionate
kissing. To make the daily kissing even better, do it to your
favorite slow jams! That should keep the fire kindled.

My favorite kissing time is laying in the bed, talking, laughing and just simply holding one another. Late nights in the bed, not necessarily having sex, but just being important enough to "stay awake" an extra hour for... Mmmm. I am a definite passionate kisser... I would prefer good
kissing over all the rest. Lol

I was married once and divorced more than 10 years ago. Her
kisses were no better than average. There were other things "off
the mark" about her and previous women. The importance of slow and
passionate kissing did not sink in for me until this year. Now I
have the key. The sex is less important because I know that a woman
can do it dishonestly (i.e. she can fake it).

With a little love, and some tenderness
Well walk upon the water
Well rise above this mess
With a little peace, and some harmony
Well take the world together
Well take em by the hand
