Saw where Pat Hankins admitted he lied just to 'bluff' the guy. Had a runin with Hankins a few years back and I can tell you he is not professional police material!

and having a record makes someone automatically guilty? you must be either brain dead or one of greeneville/ greene counties finest. just because some one makes a mistake shouldnt make them suspect number one for the rest of their life! it would be a shame if any real detective work was ever done in this county!!!

Dective Pat Hankins has devoted his life to the well being of the people of Greeneville, everyday he puts his life on the line to keep our families safe. The man should be lucky to get off because there was not enough evidence. Pat Hankins is and always will be a great man and top of the line police material!!!

Having a record does make you a suspect. He said that there is two sides to every story. Not that this man is guilty. If this man was a known thief and he was walking around the area with tools that could possibly be to break in a business what would you think?

Not so.
He thought he was pulling over a teenager because of the sporty car being driven, safely. Shocked to find out it was a law abiding, stone cold sober 'older person' instead of an intoxicated teen. Long story not worth telling but presented himself very unprofessionally.

Not a thug,I know him outside his job and I know the hard work he puts into his job and the devotion he gives the people of greeneville. I also so a fathor who riskes his life to protect others and mostly I see my daddy, who I could never be more proud of !!!I'm no thug, just someone who can see the difference between what wrong and whats right!

I believe I once read "he who has NOT sinned cast the first stone!" I can see where he was a. Suspect but that does not make him guilty and I also agree with the fact that just because you made a bad choice in life doesn't make you forever bad. As far as the police are concerned, it's not against the law for detectives to lie or bluff during a interview. If it was they would never get anyone to confess. So with that being said it doesn't matter if he bluffed him or not. That does not determine if he is a good officer!
