Back to the brothers comment... Byron & Broderick were good, but I would have to put my vote on Dustin & Elliot.
They all were good football players!

In the last decade or so I think you should consider who played D1A from greeneville. Dustin moore, Bowman brothers, moon, cave, dixon.

Quarles just lead his team within a touchdown of our countys first state title. Baugh had back to back brilliant seasons at QB for the devils and Christian lead his team deep into the playoffs.
Oh yeah, they were pretty good
This poll has probably left off several good names, but I am good with the ones on here.
Heck, if marty Story would have stayed at Clemson, he would have probably gone to the NFL as a tight end.
And for Travis, dont be a hater
Quarles could throw the ball over 15 yds without it looking like a punt Rob Wright made him what he was by going up and getting the ball. He was just able to ride the backs of wright and Spradlin

What about that 1991 team that was the first team to ever win 10 ball games. Made it to the semi finals and got beat by oak ridge. That went on to win the state title. I think they only had like 38 players on the team. Who all was on that team. I think mudturtle mayes was running back. Your thoughts

Hands down it's nic crawford. He led two historic Teams, the first undefeated regular season that ended at the hands of the witten boys and the team in 2001 that went to the semis before losing to the eventual state champs maryville. I swear that boy is part Samoan!

whoever thinks Mud Turtle was overrated never saw him play or doesnt know football. Dude was a beast, maybe best natural athlete I have ever seen. If he made some better choices and was more dedicated to football he would have gone the the League. No doubt

Frankie was a great football player and without question should be considered one of the best players to ever come from Greeneville in any year. However, I have to disagree with him being a class act. He is very arrogant. I've met a lot of coaches and players that have accomplished more on the college and NFL levels than Frankie and have nowhere near the ego. Great player no doubt but I don't care for him as a person...JMO.

I've got a friend that played with Dustin at UT and played in the NFL. I was talking to him about Dustin and he said that Dustin was the second best Tight End he had ever been associated with. He said he played against Tony Gonzalez and Dustin was second behind him. Said Dustin would have been an All-Pro had he stayed in the league. I think that's what makes him the best to ever come out of Greeneville. He would have been better than Jason Witten.

Jordan Greenway to Chase Greenway Omg Jordan most passing garage and Chase most TDs in a season. Wow that would have been fun to watch.. wish Jordan would have stayed out of trouble I heard he had talent to go D1.
