Well, sounds like that falls right into Steve Burns jurisdiction. Give good ole Steve a call and let all know what he says.:)The idea that the outskirts of Greeneville are watched for speeders day and night is maddening. People may be speeding, but the deadly accidents are happening on our community streets, not 11E. It's about revenue, not community safety.
The speed limit on Jones Bridge Road is 35 and after plenty of calls, I have never been able to get anyone to sit on my street and give anyone a ticket. In fact, I found out that the Deputy I was told would contact me (who was never in when I called) didn't actually exist. I guess the joke is on me when local law enforcement doesn't feel like doing their job. Two homes on Jones Bridge have literally been hit by a speeding car. Nobody goes less than 55 on my residential street including law enforcement.
Sitting on 11E ticketing people is a lot easier than patrolling local streets where they might be confronted by the situation of ticketing someone they know personally. It's a tactic in small towns all over TN.
