The community organizer in the White House needs to take negotiating lessons from Bill Clinton.
He must pull up a chair to the table, as he is finally doing, after 10 days.
The community organizer in the White House was elected to be a leader, not a manipulator.

Barry has the ultimate vote and the ability, by executive order, to keep anything running that he deems necessary.
Barry chose not to sit at the table for 10 days.
He chose to let things idle.
He is receiving on the job training as a leader, after all, this is his first executive position.
Bill Clinton did not come to his rescue this time.

The United States should never back down from its position not to negotiate with terrorists. Phil Roe and his ilk, are engaged in an act of economic terrorism against the people of the United States because of their extremest views.

If an organization other than Phil's group of 80 extremists shut down our government, every Navy Seal would be scouring the earth trying to find, and put an end, to this threat.

Hell, we know were Phil is. Why are we not taking action?

The community organizer in the White House could have sat down to negotiate 10 days ago.....what was the problem?

Well, we're starting negotiations with the biggest sponsor of terror in the world....Iran. The Iranian Republican Guard, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, even Al Qaeda have found refuge and monetary support from Iran.
BTW, you can't impeach Rep. Roe, but he can be recalled.
Did ya see the 2 demorats get recalled in Colorado and sent home? LOL
There's another demorat being recalled in Colorado right now....say bye-bye.

The issue with the recall gimmick is that the voters are starting to catch on that it is a way to subvert legal elections by disgruntled losers. Time will tell.

I like Roe, just look at his record and you will see that he cares about hard working middle class families.

Roe is a big supporter of the Workplace Flexibility Act that was passed recently by the Republican controlled House of Representatives. This legislation will help working families who are struggling to make ends meet in an Obama economy.

Basically, the way things work today is that employers can only afford to give their full-time employees 40 hours of work per week. If the employee works any more than 40 hours then the employer is forced to pay time-and-a-half overtime pay.

If you think about it, that's not really fair. The government is forcing your employer to give you extra money for doing the same job.

And a lot of small businesses out there cannot afford to pay time-and-a-half, so they restrict your hours. That hurts employees who want to work more than 40 per week.

And when you are trying to raise a family in an Obama economy where a Big mac and a tank of gas will run you 80 dollars, more and more people need to work longer hours. 40 hours is just not enough to pay the bills.

Well under the Republican plan Roe voted for, you now have the flexibility to work as much as you want. Work 40 hours, or work 100 hours, it is up to you. There is no limit to the amount of hours you can work, because there is no longer any such thing as overtime.

Instead of getting paid extra for what would have been overtime work, you will instead get to receive comp time off at the end of the year. Work a hundred hours this week at your regular hourly rate, and then at the end of the year you get a weekend off around christmas to have with your family.

And because the employer doesn't have to pay you all this extra overtime pay, your employer can now afford to give you as many hours as you want.

For any years now the Republicans have been searching for an alternative to the 40 hour work week. And this legislation is the beginning, the first step in eliminating the 40 hour limit. Employees will no longer be limited to 40 hours of work per week.

And in an Obama economy, people want to work as much as they can.

Roe understands this, because he started out with nothing, worked hard, paid his way and became a successful businessman and leader.

If he wanted to play politics he should have done it in another way which would not have hurt so many of his constituents. Things will only get better when the people legally remove people like Phil Roe from office.
You must love the taste of the Obama Kool-Aid! Not sure if you have noticed, but the Obama Administration is giving marching orders to make the so called (75-80% of federal workers are still on the job) shut down as painful as possible. Those in Congress who have common sense realize how destructive ObamaCare is. They rate simply trying to get the same delay that Obama gave to big business and I won't mention all the exemptions given.

Or it's a legal course of action to throw out a corrupt politician, or a politician that blatantly lied during the campaign (gun control issues).

Never said recalls are not legal. Just stating an impression that this has become a political tool for sore losers at all levels of politics. If blatant lies during political campaigns were a criterion for calling recall votes then no politician would stay in office long.

Phil Roe is a fraud. Yes you can work as many hours as you like but you'll get paid for forty and no more, thank you Roe!. Also, he's one of the 80 tea party members that take orders from one of the richest families in the world,Koch brothers. Google their name with association to Phil roe, you'll see what I mean. He's one if the leaders in this shutdown, don't take my word for it, watch. He voted to stop benefits to vets, cut WIC and many other cuts to elderly and soldiers. He's going after social security next,. Oh he's not alone, not by a lomg shot, there are 80. Total and the middle class is going to be wiped out. Wealth will reign and he's part of the group responsible, working for Koch and five other families to ensure they will rule. Has your district been redrawn, yet? If not, it will be soon. Check out the real estate he owns, insurance companies he's vested in. Better open your eyes and keep them open. They've been dying to get SS and Medicare for over two decades. If he gains rank in TN, senior citizens better make arrangements to either move from Tn or the world!

Actually, it was the Dems that voted for the shutdown. The Republicans looked to pass through a bill that would delay ObamaCare implementation for the American people, giving the same waiver that Obama gave to big business. The Dems rejected it, so they elected for the shutdown. The Republicans then sent bills through that would continue funding to other "essential" parts of the government, such as the ones you listed, but the Dems rejected. Get your head out of your ass.

Obamacare/ACA is law! It became law in 2010! Congress cannot bring a bill to a budget meeting! The republicans wanted to cherry pick portions of their budget they THOUGHT would help solve problems while in reality, it caused more problems. This is the republican budget, we have never done a bit by bit budget, until we got the tea party! Phil Roe is one of the group working at the bidding of Koch brothers. We don't do budgets piecemeal, we never have. It really is sad that so many poor people have been taken by this man. As I said, google Koch brothers and associated with Phil Roe! You don't even have to capitalize Koch that's how well known they are, that's the status and prestige they carry!

The Housr holds the power of the purse. They are able to defund bills. ACA is widely unpopular among the American people. We are already seeing job cuts, insurance costs soaring (although Obama said that wouldn't happen), people dropped from their insurance (Obama said that wouldn't happen) and I won't mention the cost of the ACA or the fact that if you don't have health insurance and don't opt into the program there is a fine. I hope you are the first to lose your job and / or see your insurance plan slashed.

The fact that you're comfortable with the government takeover of healthcare is amazing. They can't balance a budget (hence our $17 trillion in debt) and they f*** up everything they manage (Social Security, Post Office, etc., etc.)...

I am looking forward with eager anticipation to Obamacare crashing and burning. The Liberals have everything riding on Obamacare, it is their crown jewel. And when it fails miserably, as I am sure it will, that will be the last straw. People in this country will wake up to these self-entitled scumbag "99 percenter" Liberals, and they will all be rounded up, tarred, feathered, and run out of Dodge on a rail.

Liberalism is a threat to our national security because dependency on government makes people weak. And people like Kelly can't even think for themselves anymore, because it is obvious she gets all her talking points from msnbc. What a dummy.

We need to get rid of all these communist government programs. medicare, social security, the post office, labor unions, fmla and anti-discrimination laws which hurt small businesses. Like you say, government can't manage anything because they mess up everything. I agree totally. Time to take out the government.

Freedom ends where government begins. The founding fathers knew this. When the founding fathers created america, their goal was to free people from tyrants and give the common citizen the ability to self-govern. Now look what's going on: King commie darkie muslim has taken over the country, people who refuse to work for a living have taken over the country, we have turned our backs on God and tyranny is once again thriving.

Let people take care of their own healthcare, let people pay for their own retirement. If you didn't save up for your retirement or healthcare, not my problem. If you bought a house and can't afford to make the payments on it, not my problem. It shouldn't be government's responsibility to bail you out.

Seriously, if you bought a house you couldn't afford, then you should go live under a bridge with the rest of the losers. That will be a good lesson for you to learn. You should have been more responsible and saved instead of frittering away your money.

Obama was elected to give away gifts to people who don't work for a living. Pure and simple. Before he is done he will have 30-50 trillion in debt racked up on programs designed to rob people who work and give all their money to people who don't work.

Hope and change.

It amazes the mind people know so little about their government but are willing to listen to talking heads on TV and spout their nonsense verbatim. The constitution gives the power to set budgets to the House, not the Senate and not the President. They have only pass or reject power. If they reject then the House must redo the budget and make the changes necessary to get it passed. This is where we are at now. The House refuses to do its Constitutional duty to redo the budget. It has nothing to do with Obamacare at all. If it did Obamacare would be shutdown now. The whole premise this is about Obamacare is a false one and Roe is perpetuating a lie. When the House decides to do its Constitutional duty then this will be over, not until. Representative Roe is a liar and a fraud, he is not doing what he was elected to do and people are suffering and he really doesn't care if relatives of dead war heroes see their kin or not. He is the worst kind of politician who promised to give all a fair hearing and break and in fact is given nobody but his political overlords his time.
You are off base, as if there are parts of the budget they wish not to fund, they have the option to refuse finding. They hold the purse.
