Ex-sheriff's staffer sentenced in theft

A former employee of the Putnam County Sheriff's Department was sentenced Thursday to 18 months in prison and three years probation for stealing almost $90,000 in federal and county funds.

difference in WHITE collar crime and
blue collar crime.
Often White collar crime will not require full or any restitution!

You have got to be kidding me. I live be Greencastle. Just because he worked for the jail, he can steal close to $90,000 and only get 18 months. Anyone else would have got years in jail.

I live in Putnam County and can atest to it being a joke for equal justice. The county is definitely a "who ya known or who ya blow", will get you a slap on the wrist. Heck, the Sheriff is under investigation for misuse of funds.
