Although we don't know the exact cause, this accident doesn't surprise me. If you've ever traveled on 295 south of Powder Mill you know you're taking your life in your hands. People tailgate at 70mph, change lanes indiscriminately and show no courtesy, all to get to their destination one car length faster. On a four lane highway it's a recipe for disaster.

Everybody needs to slow down and show some courtesy on the road!

It takes four and a half hours to clear five wrecked cars from the highway?

Ridiculous!

If this were one of your family members who died in this accident, wouldn't you want to find out exactly what happened and who was to blame? It was five vehicles, two deaths and a pretty big investigation to run.

Please have some respect for the two souls who died so terribly today. This world gives us many surprises and does not revolve simply around one person, or our driving schedules. Be thankful and count your blessing everyday.

I was in the traffic today on 95 south as a result of the traffic on 295 south, and it caused me to be late for work, however, there are families that are grieving right now due to their losses. I am still here, so a little traffic is nothing compared to what these families are going through. Thank you JESUS!!

You're an ass! This wasn't a fender bender. Someone crossed the median at a high rate of speed and caused a 5 car accident killing two people (I only hope one was the idiot driver).

You sound like the person who complained when they delayed their trip to the beach with the recent Bay Bridge accident. How inconsiderate you both are. How would you feel if this was a family member, friend or a loved one?

I would like to go on record to say that this was my 14 year old daughter's father on the motorcycle that was killed by some moron. You idoits who were late for work didn't have to explain to their child that their father was never coming home again. Get real.

If I'm wrong then I'm the asshat of the century but I'm rather dubious of the posters that seem to chime in right after an accident saying that they were related to the victim. You would think after a tradgedy like the last thing they would be doing is surfing the net on the SUN paper forum. I'm calling Shenanigans on this post.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of the lost ones from yesterday's tragedy. Can anyone advise the name of the guy on the bike? I have a number of friends that ride, that are single parents with kids. There isn't a day goes by that we don't check up on each other, especially when we hear of one dying in a crash such as this. Until you've lost someone close to you, you don't know what it's like; so how about a little less judgement and a little more prayer.

Like I said I'll admit I'm a giant asshat if I'm wrong. I just think it's odd and if someone is posing as the man's wife that is pretty sick.

I never claimed to be the wife of the man. I am the mother of his daughter. This is a life changing situation for her. My daughter was very close to her father. I was mearly looking for information not provided by the detectives and/or the media as this seems very surreal.

When an MVA results in a fatality the roadway may be completely shut down for a thorough investigation. Unfortunately, when the victim is DOA(on scene) the body may remain in the vehicle or where they were found until the investigation is complete. I have been on accidents where the body has remained covered for six hours.

My family and I were driving through the area this morning and a man on a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed. The cyclist was weaving in and out of traffic and even splitting the lanes, riding in between the sides of other cars. Shortly after he passed us traffic came to a halt as a result of the accident.

We sat for more than an hour before being diverted across the median into the northbound lanes. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those impacted by this tragic event.
