Pepeng is mostly winds and it landed in cagayan, batanes and bicol region. there are still casualties in that area however its not the same as Ondoy for that we are thankful.
I am checking this other website were it shows another typhoon from Guam heading to PI but its changing direction and will not pass this country. though who knows typhoons are unpredictable.

Blue, Had to go to San Fernando, LaUnion this morning and talk about a pour down. Slow driving yet some idiots were out, lol. Back in Pangasinan now and raining hard here now. Sigal 1 was up in LaUnion but none here. That last typhoon Peneng is still hanging around and another on the way.

D,
We've been having typhoon practically every week.
Its sunny here in Metro Manila but it can change fast. Glad your safe, wet roads are very dangerous to drive. I have a work mate here from La union, his our IT support, I can't remember if he is from the north area, he said his worried about their rice farm, its about to be harvested but if the new typhoon comes, his farm might be destroyed by flood. I have no idea how to translate it in english he said Mahirap na daw gapasin ung palay kasi nakadapa na.

Allah is most merciful, most forgiving. He is most powerful. Behind the life we are living is Allah, who takes great concern about the goings on of our livelihood. Every moment of life. Why then are all the destructions and the so called calamities happening? Only Allah knows the answer and mostly like what he told us in the Quran, The treasons are all due to our negligence in serving him and serving each other. So let's pray and let's start a life based on faith or iman, love for another human being and the effort to get Allah's attention i.e. uphold truth that life is temporary and that life here is not at all the objective. We will all die one way or another. But most importantly is; our faith in Allah must be total and that Islam through prophet Muhammad's method is the way of life.

Allah help us!

I saw these destructions in the pictures. But what struck me are the "Statue of the blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Lorenzo Ruiz (first canonized saint of the Filipinos) standing tall and strong in waist deep water.

Then days before the second typhoon was expected to strike the second time in Manila, there was a Priest who roamed around praying and blessing the houses, etc.; Christian group praying too; and people doing religious procession with the images of the Saints...

the second typhoon did avoid Manila and went to Ilocos Norte to visit Madam Marcos...

What is heartening to know is the payback time of people in Bohol who was spared from the first typhoon. They went to Manila and brought relief goods and trucks to help the victims.

Helping each other during time of calamities is indeed great.

After these typhoons, people will go back to their normal ways no longer believeing in God and no more time to attend the Sunday mass...

Teodoro said military equipment mobilized for the disaster response are not designed for search and rescue operations but for combat.

He must be really out of his rocker! His stupid! where is his brain if he had any. And he had the nerve to run President of the philippines when he can't even think strength on what to do in times of disaster.

Food crisis ‘di lang kasalanan nina Ondoy at Pepeng
(Dindo Matining)

“The looming food shortages cannot be blamed on ‘Ondoy’ and ‘Pepeng’ alone. The food crisis is the cumulative result of the continuing lack of support for the farming sector,” paliwanag ni Cong. Guingona.
..........
Why should she supported the pinoy farmers when she knows she can't make money from them. Hindi siya tanga!

Blue, I believe the other storm has turned northg but remnants of Pepeng is still bringing hard rain. The drivers are crazy, the roads in bad condition and many do not have licese or insurance. A lot of bus drivers and commuter van drivers get paid by commission so getting to point A to point B and back as fast as possible is the only goal. Personal safety, passenger safety and safety of other drivers or pedestrians does not matter. Many of these buses are unsafe to begin with. Very little enforcement. Recently there has been an increase in bus accidents. A primitve and hardly effective form of population control....lol.
