It's about time. That intersection is really terrible...

I love the fact that, although both roads are major state highways , that PennDOT doesn't have to foot the bill for any of these improvements. The same thing is happening up in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County at Route 100 and Kernsville Rd. In both cases the municipalities are tiny and generate little of the traffic withinn their own borders requiring the lights.

If homeowners wants to improve their own houses, they have to pay for it themselves. Why doesn't PennDOT have to do this with their own roads? I guess when its hard to even fill in a pothole it's probably really hard to planpay for a major intersection upgrade ...

I don't want this light. No one asked me and I live there! It's only going to make the traffic worse during rush hour and everyone will use the side roads to avoid the light. What a waste of money.

Stop the traffic Light! Save the Community! Tax payers pay in the end! The traffic Light is political scam! A means of perpetuating graft in the community! Everyone has their hands in the cookie jar on this one. As usual it is the tax payer that loses out.

I know that the former pa highway commissioner is under investigation due to his dealings with Vince Fumo. Who had dealings with Caster in Montgomery County. Caster of Montgomery COunty COmmissioners is trying to pass major funding for transportation and he too is connected with Fumo... He is cutting funding for human services while taking the platform for higher taxes and higher spending for highways in Montgomery County.
I hear that Fumo may be tried again.

Doesn't really matter to the homeowners there.
They're all breathing in toxic fumes from Limerick power plant , that stuff is raining down all aound that area and they'll all have brain cancer 6 arms and 15 toes and seven eyes all within a few years anyway.

That intersection manages itself well with out the help of a Trafic Light. Who comes up with these ideas and why are the local residents opinions a non-issue?

Because their taxes only go to fuel the stupidity.

I agree. I've never had a problem with that intersection. A light will just force us to come to a complete stop when there's no traffic to warrant it. The police will probably be lying in wait there when they need a fundraiser.

Yall don't get the idea.
See you NEED that light. The Guv needs money so they put up the light, you stop for no traffic coming and sit there, sit there and sit there burning gas going nowhere. You buy more gas , pay more gasoline taxes.........for going nowhere.

Don't you get it?
That's why stop signs are being hung every 200 feet and traffic lights going up in the middle of nowhere.
