Some of story is true. But a former employe lied over and over about
what happened. She lied about her role in what hapened. Check back

My dog is very ill & very old.
I have to find a place where he will be 'put down'
in a true and kind manner.
Yet, I have no idea who to trust.
It breaks my heart to hear Annie's story.
This should not have happened!

If you are satisfied by getting your "facts" from the press, then you should really be shocked by all the facts you read about in the National Enquirer. How can you possibly sleep at night with all the alien alligator babies roaming about?

This incident has been "settled" for quite a while now. The Ganyers moved out of the area and settled out of court. The "manager" who concocted the whole scam has been gone for many years (the news broke soon after she resigned - no surprise there). She is the one who "informed" the Ganyers about the scam - yet this "manager" is the one who told the Ganyers that she had nothing to do with it! Axe to grind?- you betcha! The young vet (who the ex-manager manipulated through lies) has also been gone for many years. Dr. Thayer did not know about the scam until it was too late. What would you do?- give the dog back to religious zealots who can't handle owning an epileptic dog? Seizure meds are cheap - having the dog put down was cheaper? Dr. Thayer is again the only vet at Mill Pond - and a great vet at that - always has been.

Vets normally have a staff of people. They need to hire good people and make sure they're doing their job correctly. The ultimate responsibility is the owner.
