Well I guess at the age of 77 he will be donating his expertise & time to this debt ridden mismanaged school district?

Can he use a computer? Is he in touch with society today? Just asking.

How about ridding the entire BASD school board and bringing in all new members?
Oh and the worst is yet to come.

There is a new union president that is going to make things worse, more to come...

He is a very qualified individual for the interim to right the abortion that Lewis has created.

You t*rds should value his experience and not his age.

Jerks.

When my kids went to MS and HS, the schools were run by a very capable Tony Villani. Neither of those schools have been the same since Tony left. I think Tony would make a GREAT Superintendent.

Are you kidding me. He was the one that was Accera's supervisor. Maybe he was MIA too.

So, you are HIRING (paying) someone to help BASD all while still paying Lewis, but they are possibly CUTTING programs like SPARK, RASA and the Career Academy that they can't afford? Again - the kids are the ones who suffer!

Why the secrecy? What are they covering up? We have a whole lot of educated parents out there, I hope a few CPA's give up their time to comb through whatever they are trying to keep on the down low.

Dr. Thomas E. Persing
This sounds like a good choice considering he is involved with The Education Policy & Leadership Program. I am very impressed with his credentials & find his age encouraging! There are many Seniors who can navigate the internet with the expertise equal to their Grandchildren! After all Dr. Persing is not considered at Super Senior by today’s standards.

who cares if he can navigate the internet..didn't the other basd principal use his internet abilites to surf for questionable sites...seniors have experience which no amount of money can buy..geez..any moron can google..guy has amazing credentials..man anybody who just doesn't steal stuff has a leg up on the current crew...even if a person would just sit there and not rip the taxpayer's off they'd be ahead of the game..

This is a shame. This town screws up everytime. The letter from Boscola looks like a fourth-grader wrote it. Don't define an acronym, then fail to use it throughout the letter - duh - letter writing 101. This town screws up everything, from the roads, to the useless cops, to the casino and now our schools. This is big, real big and maybe the larger news media sources should get involved because our local politicians are incapable as evidenced by their stupidity. 57 million dollars? We can barely afford what we pay to that wrotten school district now? Parochial school teachers make a fraction of what BASD teachers make, yet the students are far ahead of the BASD rolls. How come? This is an outrage.

Dr. Pershing is a fine individual with a proven track record. It was a sad day for the UPSD when he retired ... Bethlehem, you'll be very happy with results he gets ... he's worth every penny of the $800 per diem.

On to Chester Upland where I can collect more money , please the union , teachers , administrators . Sucker punched again by the minions that lobbied for this gift of educational expertise .

As long as the taxpayer's don't catch on I'll be all right.
