He should be removed from the bench...like now. He sits up on that bench and makes judgements. He is no better than the ones he slams for doing the same thing. If he can't set an example? He needs to step down.

Your acting like he killed somebody. He did not. In all my years of knowing him, he has always been a professional, even-tempered, unbiased individual that has always thought of the needs of the famlies of Albany County before anything else. If you look at the big picture, this was a set up so he would not be able to be a Supreme Court Justice. Oh. Well, There is always the Fedeal level of courts that would welcome him. You need to start looking at David Soares and Chris Delassandro. They are the ones that is behind this. So spew your anger at them for setting up a judge so he would not get a higher position that he clearly deserves.
If he had killed someone. My opinion wouuld be much different of the situation. But for now, just let it rest.

No setup here ...hes a drunk driver over and out ...these checkpoints were not set up to trap Maney thats for sure and Soares Delesandro and the Green Island PD did him a big FAT favor. As for Supreme court... No Chance even before this.

Judge Maney is a great Family Court judge. Maybe he will become Gov. or something like that. And I still think Soares and his so called cronies were behind this. You will see them fall by way of a scandal too.
It just has not been exposed yet. Just keep watching.

Judge Maney is not going anyhere. He will do his time on the bench for another year at Albany County Family Court, and maybe land a cushy job somewhere where it is nice. I wish him the best. He is atleast loved by me.

I agree. My fiance' had a job interview for a position in Family Court. This idiot was on the panel and she said he was very mean during the interview process. She wasn't selected, and was damn glad, since she might have ended up dealing with this fool every day.

Yes, they were behind getting him drunk too. Someone held his arms while someone else poured alcaholic beverages down this his throat against his will!!!!
I would think "your honor" would not be afraid of telling us this and charge the appropriate kidnapping charge against his assailants! Geewiz I can't believe stuff like this happens and to a judge no less!!! What is this world coming to?

Why was he just charged with a DWAI? Oh, thats right, he da judge!
He was charges with DWAI because his alcohol percentage wasn't high enough to be charged with a DWI. You need a .08 to be charged with DWI and, if you read it was .07, hence DWAI. And if it were the case of "he da judge," you wouldn't be reading discussing this right now. Your insinuation is a slap in the face to law enforcement!

I'd like to chime in on this a little. I live in Green Island, where the checkpoint was performed. I was actually at the bridge when Maney turned around before hitting the check point. He drove at least 1 mile to a restaurant called the purple pub in maplewood before finally pulling over and all this time our Green Island Police were behind him with sirens on. He obviously heard the sirens but tried to get away and or play dumb. When he was removed from his car, he was completely drunk. I'd find it hard to believe he blew under .08. He was stumbling, failed the line, speech was real bad, and he was very very nervous all around. Even the people on the news stated the same thing. Lets Just say Judges get special privileges. I'm ashamed at our police if they are covering for this guy due to political ties of some sort.

You sound like you may be his lawyer. I am not going to question the integrety of the officer who pulled him over because he didn't let him go.who knows what happend back at the police station when he took the test.WHAT I DO KNOW IS THIS JERK SHOULD BE GIVEN A BREATH TEST BEFORE HE STARTS HIS JOB EVERYDAY. If I was going in front of him again I would ask for it on the record. I was a victim of this drunk. This ahole found me guilty of neglect because during a week day visitation where I picked my 7yr old up from school at 3pm and returnd him at his mothers home at 6pm I did not look to see if he has shit in his pants. even the DSS lawyer said this judge was a idiot. But my sons mother was married to a state police detective. Hey! maybe he was trying to call him while he was driving drunk for that mile and a half. Hey Judge Jerk I wish you the best of Bad Luck.
