Obama's not gonna take your guns right? Uh huh.... well you might ought to take a look at the assault weapons ban reauthorization act. It will be going in front of congress again soon. It was shot down in 2008, but here it comes again. Take a look. See if your gun is on the list. Assault weapons my ***!

OBAMA ON GUN CONTROL

OBAMA AND THE SECOND AMENDMENT

OBAMA LIES TO GUN OWNERS
http://www.youtube.com/watch...

If anyone has the illusion that President Barack Obama is a friend to gun owners, the statement on the White House list as well as his past history should dispell that quickly. Although he and Vice President Joe Biden say they favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment right of gun owners, their actions speak louder than words.

On Obama's agenda is repeal of the Tiahrt Amendment which protects gun owners privacy. It restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access gun trace information. They also want to make the expired Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008, which amends the federal criminal code to reinstate, for 10 years, the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act's assault weapons ban to prohibit the manufacture, transfer, or possession of a semiautomatic assault weapon or a large capacity ammunition feeding device, permanent.

According to the National Rifle Association (NRA), from the time Obama was a member of the Illinois legislature to his election as a U.S. Senator, every action taken by him reflected his bias against gun owners and the Second Amendment. However, during the Presidential primary he wavered, often qualifying his answers to questions about his past voting history. He did fault President George Bush for failing to renew the assaults weapons ban.

Human Events (10/28/2008) quoted the NRA as describing Obama as the "most anti-gun presidential candidate in American history, even though he still professes that he supports the Second Amendment and the right to own arms."

Is youtube lying to us???
Please, are those actors on there? Should we not believe anything on youtube because it is not true or just because you don't agree with it?

I thought liberals and democrats were all about civil rights...oh, that's right, unless it is something they don't agree with. Then you are a dumbass, or a douchebag or a slimeball.

That's right.

Both fact checkers have dealt with all this stuff you are still dwelling on. The most comprehensive debunking is the one on Factcheck.org You should check it out too. I goes into great detail of the NRA and the lies that they have spread on this subject.

Hang in there Blues Player. I was hoping we Democrats wouldn't have to keep spending our time debunking these stupid stories. I usually consider the source and ignore it. Most don't understand you can defend civil rights and still recognize fabricated stories........

LIES, LIES AND MORE SLIMY SLEAZY REPULSIVE DESPERATE LIES AND SMEARS.

FactCheck.com is a blog, like any otehr blog, and it has a real bias. Their claims are no better than any, and their claims are, imo, always suspect.

http://patterico.com/2008/09/09/factcheckorg-...

For two straight days, CNN repeated liberal rumors about Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s political record – rumors that had already been debunked by their own correspondents, as well as the respected FactCheck.org , a group led by former CNN reporter Brooks Jackson.

Btw, as far as factcheck.org ....

Here is Wikpedia's definition of this site..

"FactCheck.org is a nonprofit[1], nonpartisan website[2] that describes its own goal as "[reducing] the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics." It is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation.[1]"

And, if this is the only place you get your information you might be interested to know....

"A review of board minutes and records by CNN show Obama crossed paths repeatedly with Ayers at board meetings of the Annenberg Challenge Project.

The Annenberg Foundation gave the project a $50 million grant to match local private funds to improve schools, and Ayers fought to bring the grant to Chicago, according to participants and project records.

The project's organizing committee asked Obama to serve as the board chairman in 1995. Annenberg Project Executive Director Ken Rollings said Ayers was not a member of that ad hoc group when the decision was made."

So, let's get this straight. Obama worked for the foundation that is responsible for the "facts" in factcheck.org .

No wonder, conveniently after the election is over, they are being caught in lies.

Don't go just one place for your sources.

I'm guessing that you are not native to Shannon County eh? Perhaps you should return to whatever crime infested latrine you were spawned in. Your ultra-left agenda has no place here. Leave our culture alone. We don't need it and we certainly don't want it.

hit "show" on this page. This is a guy that believes in factcheck.org and is very disapointed with them over the mishandling of this issue.

it seems that factcheck just believes everything he says, in spite of his record of voting.

What ever happened to "actions speak louder than words"?

Thanks ;)

Did you notice how they tap danced around the facts. I'm not talking about some ridiculous under-produced video on youtube by a wildly out of contol gun industry and NRA. I'm talking about matters of record. They are surprising quiet for all the chin music don't you think ;)

Obama was the most anti-gun presidential candidate. Well - until 4 years ago when it was John Kerry.... well except for 8 years ago when it was Al Gore. And prior it was Bill Clinton who was the most anti-gun presidential candidate in history. Are you seeing a pattern here ;)

Well Bytch - you're batting 100. Can I say - par for the course. 100% WRONG. Born, raised, and lived all my life in Shannon County. I have a room FULL of guns. Legal in every way. All hunting rifles. I've never needed to reinforce my masculinity with assault rifles and machine guns.

"latrine"... that is soooo 60's... Do you watch MASH???

Why would I do anything to jeopardize my gun ownership. I challenged bald face lies. I have no agenda. Is your "culture" illegal weapons??? Unristricted gun sales to criminals??? What point is it that you are trying (so unsuccessfully) to make?

Most gun owners don't want assault rifles or machine guns. The liberals would take those away from them if they could, and the're working toward that.

I agree with you Blues. You have no agenda. You're just DUMB ASS STUPID.

And Lady Di. I'd say most of your previous customers were AGAINST GUN CONTROL!

GUN CONTROL STATISTICS TO REMEMBER

While digesting this information, you might note that Fleet Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the officer responsible for planning and executing the militarily-brilliant and very tragic Pearl Harbor attack, was also asked to plan an invasion of the US West Coast.
When asked, he advised the military junta that ruled Japan that the task was impossible, because when landing in America, "there would be a rifleman behind every blade of grass."

THE FACT THAT OUR CITIZENS ARE ARMED HAS SAVED OUR BACON THREE TIMES NOW:
The Revolutionary War - won on these soils
The War of 1812 - Won on these soils
World War Two - Won on foreign soils, thanks to the "riflemen behind every blade of grass".
Read the lesson below, then go to the range and practice. That's an order.

IN 1929, THE SOVIET UNION established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

IN 1911, TURKEY established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

GERMANY established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

CHINA established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

GUATEMALA established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

UGANDA established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

DEFENSELESS PEOPLE ROUNDED up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
