I just want to warn all you gardeners and fruit growers about Willis Orchard Company in Georgia. You would be well advised to check the complaints on the web for info before ordering from this company. They NEVER refund money. I spent a lot of money for landscape plants and fruit trees. ALL of what I got was inferior quality. The VERY EXPENSIVE pecan trees had all the roots cut off presumably so they could cram them into the very small tight package the 5-7 ft trees came in. They died of course as expected with no tap root. I ordered a bdl of 30 "wild plum" trees. Three of those survived and turned out to be birch..not plum. Their seedless grapes were full of seeds. The nectarine and pear had no roots. I have thrown out the pear and the nectarine is still struggling after one year. When I complained they said for me to wait a year and see if they grew ( well roots ) and if not then I should dig them up, cut off the root portion and mail it back to them. They would then send replacements at the next planting season. Not only does this involve a two year planting period during which nothing grows, but who wants inferior plants once again ? Not me. I told them they could keep their inferior plants and I would never spend another dime there.I just hope I have saved someone else from the disappointing experience and expense. These people don't seem to care if their customer service stinks. I guess if they rip off enough customers for $500 or more they can shortly retire and stop masquerading as nurserymen.

The sent me 2 Asian pear trees. One was regular pear and the other a cross I called and complained and they said they would refund for the same tree I told them I had lost 2 years and asked for a larger tree and I would even pay extra. They said it was not three policy and they would not do that. I wasted 2 year and they didn't care

I ordered two large Pawpaw's and two holy trees. All arrived with no roots just like you said. They died. I returned them as Willis asked (I paid the return shipping) and was expecting them this spring. When I inquired where my replacements were. I was told "Sorry, we are out of stock" I also lost two years of growth. Wish I has seen this post before I dumped 180.00 on sticks.
