So this executive director of the Brown Cty center
is a volunteer?
I think she may be a volunteer outside of her
duties as a director, but usually directors
are paid for stuff...might not be much...but
none the less paid for something. that's always
the way it is.
You see the Red Cross here and there. Many of
them are paid for their services, might not be
much, but they get paid.
Then there are REAL volunteers. The people who
work harder than any of the paid ones.

I just saw an article that workers at Red Lobster
and Olive Garden will not get scheduled to work more
than 29 and 1/2 hours per week because then the
company doesn't need to mess with that ObamaCare
mandate to provide health care insurance.

So, the people who used to work full time, all will
now be less than 30 hours. If they worked more than
that, the company would be penalized $3,000 a year.

These formerly full time people will have plenty of time left in their week to volunteer.

I don't think this company is alone in this either.

Our economy is not going to grow and the middle class is not going to stay strong if people can't work a full week. Who is going to be able to even

Oh, but they'll have insurance, of which they can
go to the doctor and get a big coupon off their bill. But the deductible will be so high they'd
be paying out of their pocket any way.

What a farce.

Maybe we all should just be homeless and volunteer
to feel good about ourselves.
