Another thing that seems to be inevtable with a full house during the Holidays is conflict. Now, conflict is something that can either be avoided or passed through.
The thing about avoidance is that a big problem just gets bigger (left to it's own devices).
However, going right through a conflict risks things getting a bit messy at first, but then brings about change in the long run.
These days most families opt out for the path of least resistance (to avoid the mess) but end up with a long term problem that just gets longer.
This Christmas season give a gift that changes a life (and maybe a whole family) take a chance, settle a dispute, work through it and make the New Year a better place for us all.
After all, the One who came into this world and whose birthday we celebrate, did so knowing He faced the worlds greatest conflict and would go through it, not around it.
Well that's my opinion, and you're entitled to it.
