See, those white teachers and administrators are not learning our children properly. They are keeping them down with institutional slavery. It's a forced daytime curfew to keep them from having a vacation like kids in the burbs.

Yep. It's white teachers' mission to make sure only white students learn. Phew. Our master plan is working! ;)

I see what you're saying, but it's up to the students to raise their graduation rate. As a product of the csd, i've had some damn good teachers, and some were in it for the paycheck.

MOST teachers really care. The RCSD Teachers are at their wits end. They feel helpless. Their classrooms are being turned into jungles. Wild, unruly, disrespectful, ignorant children who are not being raised nor even dragged up. They are running wild and are uncontrolled. Thank gawd 1/3 of them are supposedly attending summer school.

The problem is the quality of the product the " teachers and administrators" white or black have to work with. A carpenter cant build with rotten wood, a potter cant create with sandy clay. Understand?

Teachers are having to teach children how to wash their own hands literally! My Art Teacher buddy has to she them how to rub the soap between their hands under running water. These students are in as high as 3rd grade and don't know how to wash their own hands!!! What does that tell ya, Crotchety?

My 7th grade science teacher i couldn't stand him, he was an asshole. He was hardnose. I started out with a d average, but he pushed me and i learned a lot in his class. I ended up woth a b average. He was a damn good teacher and i respected him for it, even though i didn't like him. He cared

And there are sooo many, many more. The students don't WANT to learn. They want school to be their personal playground. Teachers sacrifice the potential for making a lot more money because they WANT TO TEACH!!! NOT BABYSIT! Most people with Master's degrees make a helluva lot more money than teachers. Trust me on this one.

Sounds like a very good teacher and in the end you were the lucky one who learned alot and then kept on learning.

I agree! You don't have to like a teacher to get an education from him/her. Way to stick in there, Kool!:)

Thank you. Let me also add that during homeroom time in the morning, you had to do some work while most homerooms were screwing around. That helped too.

I have been teaching for 12 years. In the city. Love teaching-hate the stupid politics and lackluster "leadership" from the top on down. Why, why why--- can't people see that the state/Feds are the root of the problem. If the RCSD was a private company that had the same results who would we blame ---- the CEO . Who do you think the ultimate CEO of RCSD not Vargas think again. Wow how did you guess ? Lawmakers. All that race to the top $ goes to test publishing companies- we couldn't even get supplies for our kids. You have administrators who HAVE NEVER TAUGHT A CLASS, LESSON-nada! Principals are not responsible for. Much, so they can run their buildings as corrupt as they want. Nepotism and chaotic. So people who think that it's the teachers-not even close.

What a bunch of whiners! Get over your petty and offensive complaints and just be thankful you have a job. Take care of your own. You can't save the world...

You're a teacher???!!! Get real. Why are you blaming the government? The students and the student's parents don't care enough. The blacks would rather blame the white people for the blacks ignorance and laziness.

Yes. I would bet this individual is a teacher and educated before I would ever believe you are from some of your comments on here. If you don't like to blame big government and like to defend big government then thats your choice.

William, Camaro is missing some brain cells along with his legs.
Maybe you saw him at the parade, he was in a wheelchair being pulled by a rope by a fire truck and covered in flag pinwheels.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
