Bay Country lawns in Sterling VA was bought out by Trugreen in 2007.
They fail to tell people who runs and owns this business.
Bay Country Lawns says they use an organic product, its oragnic BASED. Based and being 100% are two differant things.
This Company lies period!

We all know that TRUGREEN/chemlawn are doing nothing but poisoning OUR planet. They hire inexperienced workers that could careless or know how to do their job correctly.

After researching servicemaster I ask everyone to BOYCOTT any of their businesses.
The lawsuits against this Company are DISGRACEFUL.

BOYCOTT Bay Country Lawns just for the fact they misrepresented themselves. One lie will lead to another.

Help save our Planet.

What they fail to tell people is who owns this branch. Why because people hate TRUGREEN.

What they are basing their sales on is that they use organic products.

Sales people are trained to lie, at all costs avoid our affilation with trugreen.

Bay Country lawns says they're organic, its organic based a far cry from being 100%, its percentage of that organic base is about 20%.

Could someone please tell me how grub Killer of any kind is organic?

Grub killer not only KILLS grubs but any other living creatures in ground or on the lawn.

This includes fireflies that are becoming extinct because of lawn products/chemicals.

Most of their customers are concerned with the environment, and not poisoning their children or pets.

The other 80% WILL harm everyone of their concerns.

I found comments on another site which got me very concerned that people were saying TRUGREEN is organic...This was my comment/reply.

As for TRUGREEN/chemlawn organic who told anyone that great big lie?

It has about 10% organic based product, so how could one being selling on that bases saying its organic.

Would you buy organic meat that's 10% organic? Wouldnt you ask yourself whats the other 80%?

The person I get all this information from is in the process of getting another job, in another field NOT poisoning this planet.

Lying to people is not what we are about.

FYI the land I live on has NEVER had chemicals poured on it, I get to enjoy thousands of fireflies and many butterflies.

Help save this planet BOYCOTT all lawn chemicals.
All good

The desire for the perfect lawn is leading millions of homeowners to expose their children, pets and water supplies to toxic lawn care pesticides.

Children are at Risk: Research links the pesticides used by TruGreen ChemLawn to nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headaches and chronic illnesses such as lymphoma, leukemia, bladder cancer, and learning disabilities. Children are especially vulnerable to toxic pesticides.
Workers are Exposed: Pesticide applicators and the workers who launder their uniforms suffer the negative health effects of daily exposure to toxic pesticides.
Pets are Vulnerable: Your pet has an increased risk of cancer when exposed to lawn pesticides.
Our Environment is Being Poisoned: Pesticides can contaminate drinking water and can harm or kill birds, fish, and other beneficial wildlife.
TruGreen ChemLawn is the number one lawn care provider in the United States, servicing more than 3.5 million households. While any pesticide legally used in this country must be registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), this registration does not ensure safety. The registration process is full of loopholes and does not guarantee that the pesticides have been fully tested for environmental and human health effects. In fact, an analysis of the products TruGreen ChemLawn offers on their customer receipt shows that:

17 of 32 (53%) of TruGreen ChemLawn's pesticide products include ingredients that are likely carcinogens, as defined by the EPA and the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
All 32 of TruGreen ChemLawn's pesticide products include ingredients that pose threats to the environment, including: threats to water supplies, aquatic organisms, and non-targeted insects.
13 of 32 (41%) of TruGreen ChemLawn's pesticide products include ingredients that are banned or restricted in other countries.

I have had issues with Bay Country Lawns.

Payments lost or returned
Billing problems due Incompetent back office
Unknowledgeable workers
Unable to make an appointment to speak with me when they service the lawn
Constantly bothering me with non-knowledgeable people on the phone trying to up sell me the service.

Originally I was a customer of Natural Lawn, which I verified organic products. The personnel were knowledgeable and helpful with any problems when they did the service. Then they were bought by Bay Country lawns and didn’t know that Servicemaster/Trugreen bought Bay Country. Problems have gotten progressively worse.

Ironically lawn is actually a little greener, but the fireflies are gone. I never suspected the change to non-organic products, but they do work better than organic….but at what cost.

Any recommendations on organic based companies in the Northern Virginia?
